Yep. But he actually has to see it doesn't he. Sharingan does not have 360 degree vision. Naruto went RSM almost immediately the fight started. He wasn't keeping up with anything.

lol. Sasuke got from the top of madara's statue to hashirama's statue in the same time naruto used to jump that distance from the ground in the mangascan so of course he managed to block that initial attack.

In terms of speed, Sasuke doesn't have a form that heightens it. That's his base. Unlike Naruto who gets faster when he leaves base mode. Naruto was in base mode at the time.
