It's no surprise that the characters that are talked about the most are those who display the most amazing feats. As a result, most people tend to forget that Naruto is comprised mostly of ninja who aren't super powerful like the ones most of the members of this site constantly wank.
9 out of 10 threads are about RSM, Rinnegan, MS, TSB, Susanoo, Kamui, Juubi Jins or some variation of the sort. These abilities and the ninja who accompany them, are the EXCEPTION to the standard. Unfortunately, this small exception overshadows the merits of most of the ninja that occupy the story also.
People who were considered exceptional like the ANBU black Ops or Kakashi are now considered fodder simply because people can't stop wanking the overpowered asspulls of a handful of ppl. Naruto used to about shinobi and what makes a ninja a ninja. When Kabuto was an amazing character because of his espionage skills, he's now only brought up when DSM and Edo's are talked about.
This is only a fraction of what really plagues and destroys potentially interesting threads, and I guess Kishimoto is partly to blame considering he's the author but I hope this base doesn't represent the true audience of Naruto and like the characters this base consistently wank, are only an exception to the real readers who appreciate what the story is really about.
