What makes Shikamaru smarter?

Here's more to add to his list. Also, it's just in his character, Kishi wanted him this way. Sakura is very smart and intillegent, but she's battle smart. The fight against Sasori, he noted that she watched him like a hawk. Shikamaru on the other hand has that, an can make a team based on personal abilities, and fight his worst matchup and win. After the fight against Tamari, he was just better recognized.

I seem but the chunnin exam test contradicts this, I guess it was some of kishis fault, because the question they asked, he should've answered

The only field that Sakura outclasses Shikamaru in intelligence wise is medical information.

It isn't though, she analyzed sasori attack, discovered what Kaumi was, the whole zetsu thingy, ect. I see the difference now, Shikamaru thinks out 10 different scenarios, Sakura thinks if the best one to get her the upperhand

The battle with Temari,Hidan & edo Asuma should be more then well enough proof that Shikamaru outclasses Sakura in intelligence. I give Sakura a point for her battle strategy against the Otogakure gennin but other then that match I cannot think of many other's where she has stayed ahead of the game.

Not to mention she is very hotheaded and lets her emotions control her unlike Shikamaru whom is calm and collected and did not hesitate when facing his beloved sensei.

But only when it comes to people she cares for, she wasn't really trying to kill sasori because she wanted to learn about Sasuke, she was holding back until the end

first off...if he picks a scenario....you don't think he picks the one that would give him the upper hand?
Shikamaru analyzed Hidan's style...then devised a plan to take out both members of the pair from it(granted he didn't know you had to kill Kakuzu 5 times) +plus Sakura is a medic so she has to have all sorts of info on poisons..Shikamaru didn't know anything about Hidan
Shikamaru had genius level test scores on the test Asuma was talking about
Best of all Tobi told Shikamaru he wished he was in the Akatsuki...not Sakura :hypertobi:
and i don't remember Sakura uncovering anything about the kaumi...those aren't "fighting words" i seriously dont remember lol

Why would you deny what is written in the manga?

Feats, hype, databook eveything suggests that Shikamaru is the smarter one.
