That does not change fact that Sasuke gets Manipulated easily . He does not have his own view about the world until last chapter so in character development even Sasuke lost to Naruto .

Why do you think he goes to Journey all over the world ? He still has no view how the world looks like. He is good character but not the best.

Well you have to look at the entire series. In the beginning he was just an ignorant kid who really never understood anything and believed that revenge would save him. His family was slain by his big brother who Sasuke looked up to him. through the years this feeling of revenge grew worse and worse. But through different altercations he really changed as a person.

He was the character who had lost the most of them all, but in the end he really found peace. He wanted to destroy Konoha (for good reason too) but forgave and learned that revenge is not the answer. If you look at everything that he went through and overcame you would see that he is one of the best written characters in the series. Maybe even the best but that's debatable.

I think a lot of people confuse "best written" with "takes action". Because as you pointed out, Sasuke is not the greatest character in terms of development. His initial motives were clear and strong but as soon as he found out Itachis secret his motives were scattered, cryptic, and highly questionable right to the very end.

A lot of people favored Sasuke because quite simply he got shit done. Much Like Madara, when he set a goal, he saw it through no matter how flawed or how stacked the odds were. When he went after Danzo, his goal was simply that: kill Danzo and anyone who got in his way. The Kage got in his way, so he attempted to kill them. Then he killed Danzo. Anyone else would have danced around that situation for as long as they could.

This thread wasn't exactly needed. This is all a matter of opinion at the end of the day. There's no real right or wrong answer and even Literature majors argue over things like this and disagree on the same characters within a story. It's just all bias and people go for what they think is admirable or can relate to most often times.

Kuvira's fighting style is exactly like that of toph's (interrupting/interfering with her opponents movements) but unlike toph she dosen't rely on heavy stances. Not to mention if kuvira gets her in the air she's blind. But this isn't the place for such a discussion.

True that, but one last thing is that toph can sense her movements, so i think she rapes. But as you said this isn't the place for that.

Sasuke is a blank canvas, dictated by the way the manga transpires. From the beginning to the end, for Sasuke it was always about going deeper into the truth and the more he found out, the more his character changed and evolved. What makes Sasuke such a good character and in my opinion, the best in the manga, is how realistic he is about most things he does. And I bet every non-Sasuke fan will immediately say he isn't realistic, but you'd be sorely mistaken. Tell me this. If your entire family was murdered by your brother, your entire life is dedicated to killing him to get revenge, only to find out after he died that he did it to protect you; can you honestly say you would have mentally held up? People keep spouting that he's only driven by emotion, but aren't we all? Sasuke never did things without reason. He always wanted to get deeper into knowing the truth. Up until his Hebi days he saw Itachi only as an enemy. Finding more about the truth led to a personality change to his MS days. Gaining EMS he delved deeper into the truth from the Hokages. And once awakening the Rin'negan and learning more about the past and learning more of the "truth", he changed yet again into the revolutionary persona that we saw. You can't categorize Sasuke's character by typical means. His character isn't stagnant like Naruto or Kakashi. He's much more than that. And that, amongst many other reasons, makes Sasuke such an amazing character.
