Disproportionate and Misplaced Retribution: Wants to kill everybody living in Konoha, even those completely unaware of what happened or not even born then, for the village elders' role in the Uchiha Massacre.

I'm talking about the cocky guy that views himself as everyone else's superior. This is not an uncommon concept. With an underdog, there also has to be the cocky genius that has to be surpassed. There's no hope for you if you think that turning into a psychotic that's little more than an intelligent beast lashing out at everything is a character improvement. That's about as entertaining as Naruto hyperventilating. The 5 kage summit was a bad day for both of their characters. Like it or not, his changes were also forced, the only good one being in part 1 when he decided to go with Ororchimaru.
He also has one of the dumbest revenge motivations in the 5 kage summit arc.

Sasuke summed up:
"How dare people be happy because they weren't told what happened! (those b*stards). It's not like Itachi wanted that or anything!"
"Screw Itachi's goals and happiness, I'll avenge him by destroying what he worked to create!"
Thankfully, this emo punk version of Sasuke didn't last long.(like the wuss version of Naruto) However, it's not that believable when you consider that Hashirama only told Sasuke the equivalent of a war story to change his mind when he completely disregarded Itachi previously. It's a bad transition.
I don't hate Sasuke (excluding the 5 kage summit version ugh). However, like Naruto, has some major flaws when you look at them. Overall, they're both good characters, but there's much better characters than them in other series.
I pretty much skimmed through the site but it's not showing me anything new. It just listed his traits and wrote them down in a defnitive way. I haven't seen a character even close to Sasukes complexity and what he represents throughout this manga. I would rather have some examples.

@bold 1 Character improvement lol? Sasukes character was never about improving his personality or socialable traits. He isn't Naruto, he is suppose to represent the exact opposite of Naruto. The ninja world was about as dark as ever when Sasuke was growing up so his persona is the embodiment of everything that's wrong with the NV. You can consider Sasuke as an extreme case of growing up in a hostile enviroment.
@bold 2 You wish
MS Sasuke was my fav character because he portrayed his role as an embodiment of hate and revenge in the NV very well. Sasuke was in a deep traumatized faze but we both know the real reason he wanted the village destroyed a simple eye for an eye motto would suffice. No need to exaggerate his motives for revenge when it was pretty clear and justifiable.

Emo punk. A punk wouldn't have the balls to even set foot into the 5 kage summit let alone challenge them with their subordinates around. I wished it did last longer but I can concede Naruto is the main char of the series so Sasukes development will have to suffer for a lesser dynamic char.
Edit:
Hashirama only told what Sasuke was really seeking the entire truth about his clan and the village/ meaning of leaf shinobi. It wasn't just Hashirama either it was the complete 4 kage who inhertited their will and Itachi who inherited that will as well. In my perspective Sasuke was really just looking at who he should direct his revenge on.
You only need to look at his story from a readers pov.
Sasuke is complex in the psychoanalysis meaning of the word. Sasuke was introduced as cool, calm, arrogant and traumatized char because of the massacre of his clan. Arrogant because he wanted to revive/avenge his clan and was very prideful of the Uchiha. We see Sasuke start to walk in the same direction as Naruto at first because Itachi was beginning to fade from his life.
Did you notice how he shifted back to being more arrogant/emo or whatever once he encountered Itachi again? Itachi was pretty much the catalyst for his character. He had memories of Itachi being the perfect older brother he was to him, but Itachi made him to believe he was a bad guy he purposely repressed those feelings. He also repressed feelings from others including Sakura, Naruto and Team Taka itself.
When he learned the truth about Itachi from Tobi. All those repressed feelings he had for his older brother surfaced and it shows how deeply he cared about him. He unlocked his MS because he loved his bro that much. His power for MS only grew stronger as he contemplated his revenge against the village but at the same time lost his cool because of his untamed emotions.
He meets Itachi once again with the mindset Itachi was a perfect all around guy and the village was at fault for making him do those things. Ironically Itachi only tells Sasuke what he wants to hear because Danzo pretty much pushed Itachi into a corner and Hiruzen had his head up his ass. Sasuke needs to confirm the source of what motivates Itachi to protect the village. Meets the kages and becomes emotionally stable again because he knows the ninja system needs to be reformed but his way of doing it was in tie of what's wrong with the system because of how he grew up. Sasukes reasoning and personality is very very complex.
Nagato
Zabuza
Itachi
Kabuto
Gaara
Orochimaru/Danzo (they're flat characters that lack development since they stay relatively the same from the start of their appearance to the end- but they have realistic motivations and show the more negative side of humanity that this manga was missing for quite some time). These two aren't complex in character development, but rather what they represent in this series.

That's only true for Danzo and Orochimaru. The rest are pretty complex. Maybe not in the grander scheme of things since I wouldn't compare them outside of the manga/anime world, but they are pretty decent for a shounen manga.
But to each their own I guess. Different characters resonate with different people.

By shonen standards they're alright. I think Kaneki from tokyo ghoul is a lot more complex than sasuke and the ones you mentioned. Although TKG is a seinen as well so there's that.
>Makes dozens upon dozens threads humping sasuke
>Makes another asking why so many sasuke threads
much intelligent
On an average shit thread on NB you have a bunch of determined idiots/trolls on one side holding down fort making the post count go up until the rest get exhausted and just leave.
The quality topics are the ones that get less posts and quality posters.
