What made Kishimoto turn Killer B into a weak coward?

I love Killer B as a character and this isn’t a bash thread, but let’s be honest; Killer B is the epitome of fodder. Which is pathetic considering that he’s a Perfect Jinchuriki. If we look back at the War arc, literally half of Kurama’s power made the Haichibi look like utter garbage...And that was before Naruto had fused his chakra avatar with Sage Mode. Anyway, he always evade capture and maybe that’s meant to be a funny on-going gag on Kishimoto’s part but I’m utterly disappointed.

Granted, I know that Kurama is the strongest bijuu and I know that we didn’t see his battle with Momoshiki and Kinshiki but I can assume that he didn’t even put up a good fight. It may have been 2 Otsutsuki vs Killed B or maybe they decided to let either Kin or Momo fight him alone. But either way, I can see him getting neg diff’d in both scenarios.

What do you all think of this and is there a justifiable reason for it?

I think he is strong. It is just Kishimoto not giving them their highlights they deserve.

Well, I’m more concerned about Killer B simply because he’s the Eight Tail’s Perfect Jinchuriki. His power is supposed to be, at the very least, JUST below Kurama’s/Naruto’s. But yet, Killer B (who’s at least permanently at 85% of power) is weaker than half of Kurama’s. Like...his entire being is weaker than a half of Kurama’s power.

Note: I only say 85% because the Hachibi is missing his horn, and like two pieces of his tentacle.

I agree Killer Bee was reduced to a Naruto cheerleader. I think Kishi didn't intend to have such difference between the tailed beasts, however the war arc was all about Naruto and how everybody relies on him. For that reason Kishi decided to just trash Killer Bee along with most.

Yeah dude, that’s what I’m saying. Killer B is fodder. He doesn’t even have a sick HCM (KCM) like Naruto does or anything. His is just the standard bijuu rage chakra mode.

It’s a travesty. He also had a chance to let Killer B shine against Kin and Momoshiki but he get neg diff’d brutally and pussied out again.

It was out of necessity. How the plot was structured forced Bee to be a scrub when compared to Naruto and his half of Kurama. First, there's his fight with Sasuke grounding where he hovered, then there's the part that the plot demanded Naruto's power to oppose the final villains.

Doubt Hachibi is even half as strong as Kurama...there is something special about Kurama from the way Hagoromo spoke about him...saying he needed Ashura, Indra, and Kurama's chakra to manifest.

Killer B is not a weak fodder. It's just the people stronger than him are STRONG as FK.

Killer B can beat what? 99.9% of the Naruto verse. However the .01% are 2-3x+ stronger than him.

well, the Akatsuki did have to seal Kurama last into the Gedou Mazou...doesn't this suggest that 1-8 are needed to counter balance Kurama's power.
