It would be super funny if roger's df was the gomu gomu no mi, which would imply why shanks had it in a treasure chest.

There is a theory that Portgas D. Rouge ate the Gomu Gomu No Mi, which is would be what made it possible to keep Ace in her belly for such a long time.

Yo I really hope that he didn't eat the Gum Gum fruit, that would be so lame to me.

And I can actually see that happening, alot of characters have compared Roger to Luffy on many occasions and his straw hat was originally owned by Roger AND Roger looked alot like Luffy when he was young. It would only make sense that Shanks (Roger's former subordinate) would own the fruit once it resurfaced.

But yeah I think it would extreme overkill if we got anymore connections/comparisons for Luffy and Roger. I want Luffy to be his OWN character, not just some rehash of a previous legend. It would be like Naruto learning FTG, or Sasuke using Perfect Susano'o exactly like Madara, that's lame to me.

If she had rubber, then she shouldnt have died. But i dont think roger had a df.

We know he has a special haki, as he was able "to hear the voices of all things" Usually only a person or creature is referred to as a voice. But it seems roger could hear the "voices" of non liveing things(such as the ponegylph)

So far it seems most likely that roger somehow did not have a df. That he just got really powerful, through training and willpower, and possesed immense haki. Or some new power that will be revealed in the new world.

Garp in busoshoku Haki is understandable but I was implying well rounded in all forms (the best).

Kings Haki is definetly Rayleigh

If u consider well rounded then it should be Shanks,Coz he matched WB's Busoshku & he has the best kings haki feats in manga.

There is no proof to say that Ray is the teacher of Shanks,IMO it is Roger,Even it Ray is his teacher that dosen't mean that he is better than Shanks it is like saying that Ray is better than EOS Luffy coz he is Luffy's teacher.

This was most likely before they went to the Grand Line, which explains why they thought DFs were only a myth in the flashback. It was the same when Luffy and his crew were in East Blue. People were more than surprised to learn that Luffy had eaten the Gomu Gomu no Mi.

I doubt that Roger had DF powers, but still, he could easily have taken a bite from a DF after Buggy's flashback.
