What level Ninja was Kimimaro Kaguya?

I'm going with Elite Jounin myself but mainly due to his Kekkei Genkai. Sure his taijutsu skill was nice and his speed was decent but neither is enough to make him anything more than a low Jounin. With his bone defense and Curse Marks though, I think it elevates him to Elite Jounin.

Honestly, by Part 1 feats he was easily Kage level.

Without any Part II feats whatsoever, he demonstrated the ability to defeat Orochimaru, Hiruzen, Gaara, and Kakashi, 4 of probably the top 5 shinobi in Part 1, and only losing to Itachi due to Genjutsu.

After Part II fleshed out some of these characters, I would still say he is likely Kage level, but that became less and less of an accomplishment as the series went on.

His kekkai genaki is one of the closest clans to Kaguya herself besides the Byukagan and his skills with his powers have shown him to be above jonin level.

I'd say Kage level, he's just young.

He was really strong. Sasuke had 31 points in the databook 3. Kimimaro had 30.5

Sasuke was already strong and level S nin as Itachi. That plus his curse seal he is Kage Level for sure without it he high level Jonnin. In fact, he was one of the shinobis that not could be sealed before the release of the edo tensei. That says to much.

Base Lee is chunin level in stats and way weaker in all aspects compared to normal Jonin , so conclusion base Kimi is somewhere between high chunin and low Jonin. Overall power-wise he's mid/Jonin. I think he's overall stronger than Jonin/genma/raido , but they are clearly superior in stats.

Had the same thought process.. Can't be a coincidence. We've probably talked about this before? XD

However, Kiiro makes a weirdly good point with the stats that contradict the bold. Kimimaro is a 30.5 overall while Genma is 27 overall

How on earth is he anything but elite jounin level? He trounced the Sound Four (who were themselves capable of soundly beating two named jounin), nearly killed Gaara while on his death bed (keep in mind that this was a far stronger version of Gaara than the one that no one in the sand village was even able to harm), and was likened to part 2 Sasuke by Jugo.
