Bad men will always been in power for 2 reasons: absolute power corrupts absolutely and because certain personality types are driven for power positions.

OT: World peace can be solved by global free trade and national specialization. If everyone is interdependent on each other financially, and everyone has something the other country wants, peace will exist. Peace is not just hugging and singing; peace is simply the absence of war. You see it exist in countries where there is financial interdependence. Two countries might not like each other, but they would be financially devastated by warring among themselves if their economies were dependent on trade. Example: Great Britain and France.

Here is what's needed:

1.

A proper model of pluralism. Not the one laid forth by secular liberalism in which core principles of the peoples' identity are swept into irrelevance. With no impact on their political or socio-economic lives. A proper model of pluralism in which people are free to express their core values completely in controlled zones. The Islamic Khilafah, even up to last one which ended in 1924 had a proven track record of bringing peace for Muslims, Jews and Christians. There are Jewish scholars to this day who will tell you that the greatest peace that they ever enjoined in thousands of years was under Islamic systems. Primarily in Al-Andalus.

2.

A refocus on the ethics and principles of politics and economics. For example, basic insights into the ethics of monetary policy make it clear that interest-based finance is antithetical to the purpose of commerce. The idea of money being the ends and not the means needs to stop. Money is simply the intermediary between good and services. No one should be using money to make more money (directly). Interest-based finance also introduces an unbalanced dynamic in which the lender wins regardless of the outcome. Secular liberalism has completely robbed people of concepts of proper ethics and principles in politics and economics. Even the corrupt Roman empire knew that interest is morally reprehensible. Funny enough, the income gap between the wealthy and poor was smaller during that empire than it is in the current USA society!

The planet has more than enough resources, at the moment the problem is the way in which those resources are distributed. Wealth should go beyond circuiting the wealthy classes of society.

No solution as far as i can see, when one finds peace others will desire war maybe just maybe bringing world under a one rule will do through a combination of both power and understanding .
