Im not a big fan of metal, but one of the few bands ill listen to is steel panther....

HOLY CRAP! You just reminded me of Dream Theater! I forgot about them, its been a long time since ive heard some of their stuff

BTW, my fave metal band is Killswitch Engage still but im listening to Trivium now and they are BAD A$$!!!!

So for Metalcore fave is Killswitch Engage

Oh sorry for the "man" thing.
I don't know how to describe metal.
The music I enjoy the most is music that has a purpose and a story behind it.
Maybe that's why I can relate to Metallica that well.
I don't hate the music you like. No, not at all...
Maybe I was wrong to judge your post since the thread is called: "What is YOUR favorite metal band?"
