I want to be an artist! But my art is just not good enough. I try to practice but I always end up feeling overwhelmed, especially when I see people who are truly amazing artists.

thats how the Greatest Artists always start! - remember, its better to build yourself from nothing than to be born having everything! - that is the path of a true Artist!!

Pardon me for brining the manga as an example, but remember, Naruto always believed in his Dreams, despite always failing!, never giving up on his Dream, and now his one of the greatest Ninjas!. lee wanted to be a splendid ninja despite having no talent as a ninja - and now his definetly one of the best!

in real life its no different, u just have to be stubborn enough!!

People who are already born with the talent, do not know the meaning of true hard work!, therefore you will be Greater than any of them, if you Just Dont give up!

if ur Dream is truly important to you - then nothing can Stop you from achieving it!

And I don't mind the reference, there are many great examples in Naruto of what it is like to achieve your dreams even though you start out with nothing!
I haven't given up yet, I practice a lot and I have gotten tons better, but this makes me feel like I truly haven't been living up to my dream, and doing everything I can to achieve it. I feel like I should go draw right now. I have tons of art books to learn from, and I've hardly looked through most of them yet.

I have felt bitter towards people in my life as well, I used to fight a lot. (Or maybe that was because I hung out in gangs o-o)
but since then I have come to accept more people on the grounds that I have done wrong as well and I try to never look down on others because I know that there are times where I stood on that same level with them in my life, and it is truly just as selfish to feel angry at or envy others enough to want to hurt them for yourself. People can be pretty retarded and sometimes you just want to kick their ass, though. :|

Also, bass. that's cool. I dated a guy who played bass once. He completely sucked at it.
