What is the purpose of having the Eternal Mangekyo Sharigan?

Its eternal.

The mangeykyo if you sue it way too much frequently you loose your light (go blind)

But with EMS you never go blind, never lose the sharingan.

Well, that wuz kinda rude. I just wanted to see if there were any drawbacks to this. It always seem to be some kind of drawback. The Izanagi, regular Mangekyo, Shisui's genjutsu, there always something that has some kind of risk.

Well you are combining two different Mangekyo Sharingan together. So logically it would lead to some sort of conglomeration of the two.

The only drawback that you can't avoid is going blind in the eye that uses Izanagi. Every other skill is just the same but without the drawback of going blind.
