I'm sorry if I'm being offensive or ignorant, but it seems like a lot of famous atheists make the case that religion doesn't have any value or place in a modern society.

Not that that stops millions of people to be religious and to take it seriously, so I wonder if you had to define the reason behind religion then what would it be?


My guess is that religion has had some sort of moral authority in history, maybe it has also been some kind of thing that gives people meaning in life or something. I don't think religion is dying tbh, people seem to think it's gonna go away, I think it might go away for a while then it's gonna increase again.

Most people believe someone is out there who is looking out for us. We have some purpose in this world and higher being created this perfect world for our shelter and safety. Also mostpeople are still scared what is life after death it make people move towards faith and it becomes religions.

Ya religion was introduced pretty much to reign on human sanity and move towards cultured society. Without religion most people wont fear it could be possible our society could head into chaos .
