I want full immersion virtual reality like sword art online or like a version of the matrix where you can go in and live out experiences that normally you would never be able to do in the real world.

actually we can travel with more that light speed.some particles "feel" a polarisation of each other not independet of distance.perhaprs work of our brains is based on that.there are some things you might not know, try to know them and they will change you .the impossible thing is to understand things without good reason ...first of all you should find good life

First and for most, the Sphinx β€”
You must be registered for see images

β€” the Sphinx has weathering on the back side of the structure that indicates, geologically, that it is [AT LEAST] as old as end of the last ice age. That's 10,000 - 11,000 years ago. WTF!?!?

Second would be the great Pyramids of Kemet [Egypt] β€”
You must be registered for see images

β€” While not as old as the Sphinx, it is still nearly impossible to tell how this structure was constructed.

Lastly ... the TARDIS β€”
You must be registered for see images

β€” ... it's bigger on the inside ... can travel through space and time ... it has a pool ...

Actually, time travel isn't that crazy. It's going backwards in time that's crazy. xd Forward in time is theoretically possible, I believe time itself is linked to gravity. Also, if there was a way to put someone in stasis so that their body didn't age at all, you could send them forward in time...who knows, maybe Fry has already been frozen and he'll wake up sometime in the far future. lol

Stephen Hawking explained how it was possible a few years back. If you're able to past the speed of light then you can surpass the speed of time itself. Many particles have been found that can rival light-speed, but none can YET pass it by very much. However even if we can't physically bend space-time with time-travel it's possible to send something like radio-waves at faster than the speed of light using these particles. This means that the person would receive the message before the other person even gives the message.

To say that time-travel is impossible or the most far-fetched theory in science isn't a solid opinion.

I mean we even have people working on immortality like

Pro-tip: Not much is impossible for science. The fact that science constantly changes is ironically what holds that statement stable.

For me, an impossible invention is the pencil. Who invented it? Where? Why? Do pencils even exist? Do WE even exist? What purpose does a pencil serve? Was it created by a god, or another supernatural being? Do pencils have souls and feelings?

No.

then they mean that the fastest thing that can travel is light? well, i doubt that. but +rep you have your own opinion. :D

I agree. Considering stars are not exactly instant when dying (super nova).

Interestingly enough, it's fun to think of how things we use were FIRST invented; such as... "What was the first man thinking before it was OK to drink milk from other creatures". xD

...Especially rats. >.>

Actually, it is. I suggest reading up on it it's very interesting in fact.

However, you're right about time travel. It's just that we have much more knowledge on speed than time, so it's easier to conclude things about speed. Time's just to unknown you know?

Well time-travel is indeed at this moment very unlikely if you're referring to time travel as taking a trip to the Middle Ages. It would be possible of the existence of a time hard disk drive, like a computer that saves everything you did on it, like the history of your browser. Then in theory it would be possible to time travel. That of course opens the debate as how time then is sorted. Is it linear, meaning from point A to B to C etc. and when go back, we actually influence the future and create a new linear history. Is it not linear, but in fact goes into multiple directions, making it so that going back doesn't change the future or going back is in fact part of the flow of time or that alternate timelines are created. Regarding that last one there is a theory that every second millions of new timelines are created based on the things you do. For instance that you decide to take a turn to the left and on that moment other timelines are created one where you go to the right, another you go straight forward, another back.

Teleportation has a bigger chance of being possible. I don't know whether this has been proven or not, but in the least it was a theory, namely that 'space' can be molded. That it for instance can pressed downwards and maybe it could even be folded like a paper. There is a theory that worm holes are in fact that, folded space and that through the worm hole you end up somewhere else in the Universe. So in theory it then could be possible for instance to say building a machine where you give in the coordinates of a certain place on Earth and that machine then compresses that space with where you are currently and linking them with each other.

Another topic that hasn't been mentioned yet I think is mind reading. I can understand that it can be found out which part of the brain is responsible for which action, but if I think words in my head or even just imagine a picture, is it even possible to read or view that? I mean is there somewhere in my brain a place that actually shows that picture or words on the moment I'm thinking of them, encrypted or not?

You mean Charles Xavier? HAHAHA ! i don't think that would be considered as an invention, just a supernatural ability maybe?

My mind > blown.

Funny thing... I believe I considered the multiple realitys before I heard about it. True story...

Maybe we are linked mentally with our past selves, and can re-visit a location providing we WERE there..

Alternatively - there is also the Assassins Creed mechanics... We should be able to re-visit our ancestors history lines one would think...
