[Discussion] What is the most impossible INVENTION for you?

For me, it is what we called "Time Machine"! Why? I'm not a religious person but it's just that, inventing time machine is REALLY IMPOSSIBLE ! How could you change the past if it's already been done? How could you exist in time that you haven't made by your parents ? Things that have been done cannot be undo in real life, the only thing that you could do to make it better is to move on and keep moving forward. But my favorite movies are time travelling movies, it really satisfies me when the movie is categorized in SCIFI and the it said in the summary that includes time travelling. For me, IT REALLY FITS IN SCIFI ! xd

So share yours. This is just a discussion thread, no debate, okay ?

Think about that,you'd be able to open the door walk on the pad and travel from Frorida to Japan then India all in 5 minutes time.Do some shopping and meet locals,then go back to your house
It would connect the world.
Time travel would kinda mess things up and make people crazy.

YEAH ! Time Travelling could make people crazy, but teleportation is really a good thing ! xd HAHAHA !

Actually, time travel isn't that crazy. It's going backwards in time that's crazy. xd Forward in time is theoretically possible, I believe time itself is linked to gravity. Also, if there was a way to put someone in stasis so that their body didn't age at all, you could send them forward in time...who knows, maybe Fry has already been frozen and he'll wake up sometime in the far future. lol

The speed that you see spaceships flying at in Star Wars or Star Trek is impossible.

That speed would literally destroy everything around it, considering that fact that you even discovered how to travel that fast, as it is impossible.

Time Travel is an unknown, because we really don't know anything about time or how it works.

@Time travel non-believers: depends on ones perspective. For me, I am a believer as I view time travel as simply as "opening a door to another same-reality", that which can be accessed and interacted with. Basically the same planet and such, just that when you return, nothings changed as it wasn't the reality linked to our own--but all the same cosmetically. (if that makes sense )

@Light speed travel: yeah... It's hard to believe this one, considering the fact what the risk of objects (planets, etc) are to the travel. Now maybe to travel and avoid such would be too make said ship ghost-like, to avoid matter, but even then; who's to say there is not ghost matter out there as well... Granted less likely, so normally over-looked perhaps.

So I believe space travel is an option. Just need more advancement.

Truth be told, there is a saying "you can set ANYTHING you set your mind to; one is only limited to ones imagination..." I feel it's true.

So far we've over come prejudice to some degree- became tolerant is at least a step in advancement. Obama being black and all.

Now, ill give ya the benefit of the doubt here. You prolly mean "NEARLY-impossible invention", in which case don't I have egg on my face...

Actually, it is impossible to travel at the speed of light.

The closer one is to that speed, the higher one's mass becomes. Along with that, energy for said travel increases as well.

The closer you get, the more energy goes into increasing mass, meaning that their is none left for increasing speed. It can't be done.
