What is music to you?

Music, to me, is something that takes time to develop and has meaning. So, in my eyes, Justin Bieber, Taylor Swift, and etc. don't make music. They make crap to get money. Kind of like you, music is something to escape to because of its meaning to me and the artist himself/themselves.

Why do you think I'm asking? I know how I feel about the subject, and I'm curious about what it means to others.

I believe music is a collection of noises put together in such a way that it can be enjoyable to the ears.

To a person that only listens to music, I agree fully.

Hm. I play the piano and I'm mostly into classical music, it really soothes my soul, it conveys really deep messages and expresses and evokes emotions on a sublime level. I couldn't imagine my life without music.
But I like music in general ( there are a few exceptions though), I listen to anything that sounds good, but really there is a difference between true art and making some popular "music" to sell for teens...But to each his/her own.
