Love is the bond between people, the trust, connection and emotional ties they have for each other. Its the letting go of all you insecurities and trusting someone with your heart mind and soul, always being there for that person no matter what the situation may be.

Love is whatever you want it to be, there is no one definition and it is funny when people try and say otherwise.
Like those clowns who say that "Love is your feelings and is on the inside", it is a physical attraction as well as mental and emotional.
You can't define love though because it is different for everyone and every situation.
Like I love my best friend as a friend and that is love but it is different from the love that I have for my mom and different from the love that I would have for my child (when I have one) and the love I have for my wife (when I get one).
Nothing is black and white and there are as many different definitions of love as there are people.
EDIT: I am a little annoyed at people who say that love isn't about looks, you can lie to others but don't lie to yourselves. Physical attraction is a huge part in a relationship and usually what starts them off. I mean if you had a choice between someone who was incredible attractive and you were attracted to would you choose someone else that you were slightly more emotionally attracted to that was ugly?
The reason I get annoyed at people who say that is because it usually sounds like they are trying to be self-righteous and trying to convince others that they aren't "superficial". Looking for a physical attraction isn't superficial, unless you completely disregard personality and emotions when looking for a partner.

Love is happiness. When you with someone nothing or anything matters but them. That one person makes you happy even when their not there. When their are gone you feel this emptiness like you and the whole world just died. I have some experience with it, so I know a little.

I kind of like this definition but I also disagree with it. Being away from the person you love shouldn't make you feel empty, if it does it is probably closer to obsession.
But once again there are different kinds of love, love for families, friends, spouses, children, animals, stuff you own, hobbies. You name it and you can love it, and those loves are all different and unique yet still important.
i agree with u to an extent. i thought this was love towards someone u'd like to oneday marry. Yes there are Many forms of love. i love my daughter differently than my husband. My daughter is a more natural unconditional kind of bond.
Also attraction and looks is a topic that could be debated about. It's not their physical appearance that makes a person fall in love. A person who is truly in love on a bf/gf lvl, see the person they are with for who they are. It wouldn't matter if they had two heads. I'm not saying that having a nice face is a bad thing or anything. It's just how a person physically looks might be seen differently from another. Not everyone's definition of attraction is the same, nor do we all see the same thing in a person that adds to that amount of attraction.
In the end we all have different definitions of love and also a different eye for beauty. It's a complicated solution with many answers.

and Yea, you're right with it closer to obsession, but what I was getting at that, once you feel empty, you don't want to feel emptiness again. You would want to be love just so you feel that since of happiness again. Probably not with that one person but with someone else. Love could be an obsession to some people because many people don't know how to love or afraid of it. We all human. I do know that their are different kinds of love I just wanted to focus on one in particular. xd
