EMS is the final form of a sharingan.
U have the regular Sharingan till the 3 tomoes.
Then u have to kill your best friend to active the Mangkeyou Sharingan.
And to have Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan, u have to steal someone else his sharingan that has activated the MS as well.
What it can do, nobody knows yet. What we do know, is that u won't go blind using it. What the problem was with the MS.
But anything else than that i guess nobody can tell.

Just like everyone said. Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan.
It is obtained when another person's Mangekyou sharingan is implanted in your eyes. Its power should vary from person to person, just like the regular Mangekyou.

Lol dude do you even read the manga EMS stands for Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan, which is an upgrade from Mangekyou Sharingan(MS). It is so far the most powerful form of Sharingan, and if you have it you can never go blind. The only person who has it is Madara but Sasuke is going to have it.

spot on but i think we do know that other sharingan techs won't work against an ems user, as kakashi's kamui had no affect against madara???

To obtain it you must first master the normal sharingan (3 tomoes)
Then suffer a huge loss of a loved one or friend
Then you must pluck the eyes out of your brother who also must have MS of there own and transplant them into your eyes.
The difference between the 3 is this:
from normal sharingan to mangekyo- The sharingans powers are strengthened and 3 new techniques are available to you with training which are amaterasu, tsukoyomi and susanoo. (Kakashi's: kumai) The mangekyo however, diteriartes your vision over time. (kakashi has shown no problems with vision as of now, but kamui does leave him very depleted with overuse)

Thats a possible reason but not really supported as madara didn't say "your kamui will have no effect because I have a eternal mangekyo sharingan". xd and couldnt it also be because of the way he dodges every other attack? with space time ninjutsu? hm?

EMS edernal mangeko sharigin! The odimit dojutsu and final stage to being a uchiha (xcept kakashi)

I think that is because madara can travel using space/time ninjustu so it doesn't effect him

Everyone on about implanting is wrong. How could you implant an eye when their is an eye already there?
Basically EMS is sealing a MS above another MS. This causes a variation and the new EMS has a new design. So far I believe EMS designs are similar to both MS Sharingans however this could be wrong as we've only seen one EMS so far in both the Anime and Manga.
