after seeing what danzo did to the frog, im begining to wonder what danzo's true attention's are. i know that thier have been numerous questions on this topic throughout the manga and on other forums, but the action he commited in the latest manga made me really think about why he did that. one he probaly wants root to take control of the village since he was miltary type person and his view was opposite of the thrid his rival. two he just wants the village destroyed or three he is doin it to protect naruto. although that is highly unlikely. what do you guys think ?

i'm thinking that danzo has the right idea for now. i think he wants to protect konoha ba not allowing the fox to fall in to the hands of the akatsuki. on the other end, i think he's only doing it because he want's to be able to one day controll both the jin and konoha for his own selfish reasons.
I think Danzo is attempting to obtain a role of power. His chances of coming out of the shadows and to the forefront/ruling greatly increase with Akatsuki and Konoha down + all the tailed beasts (except Naruto) out of the way. I think he may try to pit Naruto against Sasuke as a counter to Madara's move. I strongly believe Danzo and Madara are enemies and may even be brothers. So everything Danzo has and will do will be to allow him the easiest transition into a ruling 'hokage' like position, while at the same time defeating his brother.
Just a crazy theory since at this point that's all everything is. I can't wait to see what is really going on.
