Uchiha Macho how could you forget about Sasuke

If Sasuke gets the rinnegan and can learn and use any jutsu plus gets the first cells from the first hokage and does whatever Tobi did to stay alive, you can't seal him since his not an edo and you cant beat him bec he has the rinnegan.

Sasuke gots the potential :D

Not sure, I just remember something about Masashi saying he'll die eventually without minerals.
Where does it say that? ^.o

Anyways, in my book immortal to me means one who can survive without having to maintain oneself via transplants, body possession, or constant maintenance. Lets review your list.

Hidan is an immortal. That is fact. Whether you accept that is your business. He will forever remain in that hole in the Nara woods for all eternity until their supposed judgement day(if it exists in the Narutoverse). Untill then he will be in perpetual pain and suffering.

Reason why I say is he is immortal because from the information we have about him. Even if he is dismembered he will still be able to function as an entity rather than just cease to function like most cases. His supposed "sacrifice" to Jahin (spelling?) allows him to stay immortal without any maintenance. He does not require any special tools or knowledge to keep this incantation active. Only requirement is to kill his opponent and offer it to his "god".

Hidan is NOT immortal! Very close but not quite. He can die.

Despite being "immortal", he is still capable of dying from a lack of nutrients.
If you look at the resource it clearly says FANBOOK. That doesn't sound reliable. Show me better proof please.

Other immortals....let me see.

Kakuzo is not an immortal in my book. He requires constant upgrades to keep himself from deteriorating. If he were to deteriorate then yes he would die.

Orochimaru is what we call the regenerator. He has the capability to remain alive and regenerate his cellular structure into whatever form he wishes. However this requires him to have a sacrifice on which to pass on his "soul" to. He can still die but it would require a skilled opponent of his level or above to figure it out. Naruto's old tailed beast cloak was able to wear down Oro to the point that he had to "shed" his skin.

But whatever maintenance he required is invalid now as Sasuke was able to kill him off (though not completely). And whatever reminiscence of his chakra was sealed by Itachi using Susanoo.

Tobi is not immortal as of yet. We can SPECULATE he has been around for a long time due to his peculiar knowledge of the Narutoverse. Untill his identity is revealed we cannot define his mortality. So for now he is a mortal. :p

Madara is not immortal. Obvious reason he tells us when he appears in the battlefield of the 4th Great Shinobi War as an Edo Tensei corpse.

Edo Tensei Madara is immortal.....until the IWR technique is cancelled.

Itachi is not immortal. Obvious reason he tells us when he appears in the battlefield of the 4th Great Shinobi War as an Edo Tensei corpse.

Edo Tensei Itachi is immortal.....until the IWR technique is cancelled.

Hidan no matter what you do he'll still be alive
Not true. Everyone makes this mistake though so don't worry about it.

Hidan's immortality depended on him doing that ritual from time to time. If he doesn't do it then he can die. So by now he will have died in that pit that Shikamaru left him in.

lol its says it in the link you showed lol

the mans immortal
Are you dumb? It says that he is considered "immortal" but that can die of lack of nutrients. He CAN die. The possibility of him dying exists. His existence may cease to be. All of this automatically makes him not immortal. Get it?

why would kishi make a character seem immortal but the only way he dies is because he doesn't eat his fruits and vegetables? that makes no sense

Thank you for clearing that up for me. So Hidan is NOT immortal. Sorry my mistake.

Can you explain clearly why these people consider as immortal
orichimaru
Kakuzu
Hidan
Tobi
Madara
Itachi

I want to know who really are immortals
Orochimaru: Because he developed an "imortality" tech which allowed him too live for as long as he could jump into a new body every 3 years

Kakuzu: Because he could replace his heart with another

Hidan: Because he once used an imortality jutsu to make himself unable to die through physical means

Tobi: Because people thought he was Madara Uchiha, thus making them believe he has been alive for about a century

Madara: Look at the reason provided for Tobi. Clearly Madara ISNT imortal since he was brought back with edo tensei

Itachi: Ive never heard anyone accuse him of being imortal, and if people have then they are more retarded than Tobi=Obito believers. Itachi has died. Hes not imortal. Get over it.

Does the death god exist? It is hard to say. I would hazard a guess and say yes, but define existence. Will we ever see him? No, but his ritual allows Hidan to keep himself alive.

Basically there are no immortals in the narutoverse, only quasi -immortals who require outside forces to keep them alive.

Hidan is the closet, then I say Tobi, then a tie with Kakuzu and Oro. Since they need outside stuff Kakuzu gets new hearts and Oro gets new bodies

Nobody is truly mortal. Hidan is most likely dead because in order to stay alive he has to kill a certain number of people within a time limit.

Hidan is the closest though, saying that ill like to see the effects of nagaot's soul removal against him xd

Hidan..I saw somewhere where Kishi says the only way Hidan stays immortal is if he kills people while using that seal in that transformed state. Everytime he does that, but now that he's stuck underground, eventually he'll die.

They are immortals because they don't die from normal means such as aging and disease.

Immortal means you cannot die, it does not mean you cannot be killed.

Vampires are immortal, but can be killed.
Hidan is immortal, but can be killed.

Hope you guys get it, all the shinobi that claim they are immortal technically are.

Yes. The only immortals I see are the tailed beasts, well their chakra anyways. It can never be destroyed only sealed or transferred.

Yep, as far as I know they are the only ones. That might be because they are all part of the 10-tails though and so their existence is all tied together. I wonder if they all died at the same would they come back?
