[Discussion] What if you had no friends?

If I had no friends, life would be pretty boring, no ocasional night outs going to drink and and enjoy the night, no more football or basketball games, not going to the beach with them.

I have like 5 friends who I trust the most and I'd do almost anything for them and then I have others that I met in school or whatever, that I don't talk much, but when I run into them we have a nice chat and it's all cool, seriously, friends, especially those who you really trust are really important in someone's life.

That said, I quite enjoy some time alone aswell.

well i call it my mountain. its just a quiet mountainy area in western mass. ive been here for 3 years. its so boring lol

I don't think I can handle not having a friend beside me. It just feels so lonely especially when eating and you have no one to talk to.

I'm 21, I haven't had friends to socialize with or hang out on a regular basis since the junior year of my high school about 4-5 years ago, whenever I go out for a beer or a movie I go out alone. Anyone else like this? How would you feel if you had no friends. It bothers me sometimes but most of the time I'm at peace.

I don't believe in having a big ass social circle and a dozen of Best friends and shit, I only focus on a few quality ones who aren't just faking the friendship and actually understand me well.

This has to be the most hilarious statement i've seen here in NB for a while Lol

I have some classmates who get along, they tag around me because I am useful and they get free tech support. I tag along with them going for lunch and doing academic works.
I have had some who had similar interests or did things for me but they are all away. Things are easy when have such people in your life.

I've always been more of a lone wolf that people like but I rarely let them into my atmosphere. It's a mix of being picky and not really wanting any more friends, the more you get the more people you have to be concerned for and I'm to selfish.

Plus I always preferred having a girlfriend over a best friend but both is nice. I just wouldn't seek a friend like I would a girlfriend.

I've run without friends as a kid not a single one that i would've call a friend probably i was tough enough to tolerate it till i got to know my best friend ( even that friendship started after a fight ) .

Well I wouldn't say that I'm a recluse, but I often like spending time alone with my thoughts.

I have a few close friends from high school that I still speak with and hang out with on occasion. My social circle has never been that big to begin with, and I'm better off doing some things or working on some things alone.

Personally, I feel that I wouldn't like hanging out with a large or even a medium sized crowd... but if I had no friend at all? I feel that life would be a bit depressing to be honest. As independent as some of us can be, all humans crave and benefit greatly from interaction with others. It's surprising how positive conversation with another person can go a long way towards lifting one's spirits.
