[Discussion] What if you had no friends?

I'm 21, I haven't had friends to socialize with or hang out on a regular basis since the junior year of my high school about 4-5 years ago, whenever I go out for a beer or a movie I go out alone. Anyone else like this? How would you feel if you had no friends. It bothers me sometimes but most of the time I'm at peace.

I've always been a loner and if I had friends at some point it was because they just tagged along with me.

You don't have to get "I'll do anything for you" type friends, but you need some companionship once in a while. Humans are social creatures by nature. Things will improve for you if you socialize more.

But actually it doesnt feel bad at all for me i do only care for my own buisness after all well you see it depend on the person that has no friends some people do not care for friends some need them

At my first year of highchool i had near none until i met my friend who later become my closest friend (besides my sister), i do not have too many friends but i have several close ones, they helped me a lot through years i don't want to think a life without them.

So i have friends but i am not overtly involved with too many people, sometimes i want to spend my time alone.

Sometimes having lots of friends is more trouble than it's worth, especially when you discover that only 1 or 2 can be considered true friends. I can see why some people(myself included) don't want friends(or at least too many). But hanging out once in a while helps erase any possible jealousy you might have when seeing friends hanging out.

I'm 21 as well and I don't have any friends. The only people I socialize with are the people I work with. And we rarely hang out outside of work. I have two friends I known since 3rd grade, but we don't hang out. We only talk when we run into each other by chance.

I'm a true loner, but I enjoy being by myself. I hate humanity.

I am an introvert and i like being alone most of the times but i also want friends so i kind of confuse myself , i still have a best friend tho (like really really close friend) and 3 other close friends but that's it those are the only people i like and can be myself around.

I used to be with no friends at all in around 9th grade i used to sit alone in lunch breaks and go home the moment the bell rings but then my classmate started to sit with me and stuff (before few weeks i asked him why did he just start hanging around me turns out he was as lonely as i was) so yeah a little by little we started to realize how close we are to each other and now we have been best friends for 3 years and we kind of became more happy and more people started to like us and stuff and we got some good friends .. He even got a girlfriend a month ago and i am about to get a girlfriend in the near time.
My life became brighter and we hanged out everyday after school and started going to the gym toghether (he is athele i am not so much) so he helped me tone up my body and we go to each others homes like everyday...

So yeah ive been lonely its really hard , well around 9th grade i was the one who decided to be lonely because the friends i used to have were no good and when they got into relationships they forgot about me i realized i am not the cool kid anymore and i need to become humble.
So yeah my best friend is the one i used to pick up on in 7th grade ...

Remember kids .. Dont bully anyone for they might end up the only one caring about you lol

I don't know what I'd be like. I'd imagine myself to be the same in most respects, though I wouldn't have met all the people I have, done all the things I've done and had all the fun times I've been in. While I do wish that some of the people I once thought of as friends I never met, I don't know where I'd be today if I hadn't met even one of them.
