I like it in a way, because that would mean that the younger son would lead a life of preserving that life, via medical ninjutsu .....

There never was an actual deity like that. It's just Hidan's ideology and crazy reasoning for his deeds. Think of many serial Killers in our world. He got "immortal" (meaning: invulnerable, NOT non-aging) through his jutsu, just like Sasori got through his or Kakuzu got through his. It's normal stuff in the NV.

Here's the thing, is their any evidence to support this? I'm asking if maybe I overlooked something.

How do you know he still ages? It's obviously very different from Sasori, Kakuza, Orochimaru, and everyone else. They all prolonged their lives unnaturally long, and made themselves extremely difficult to kill, but none of them were IMPOSSIBLE to kill, especially in their original (seemingly) unaltered body. Hidan is clearly something different. He is far from normal in NV.

Hidan isn't exactly a genius, he's actually portrayed as a moron. How would someone like him develop such an amazing jutsu (that I'm sure tons of ninja would covet) on his own? It seems pretty obvious he had to receive that gift from an outside source to me; and he explains that through his religion and god Jashin(kishi didn't hide this it's out in the open). There is nothing in the writing to suggest that he is making that up like some kind of "son of sam". He has real tangible power like no one imagined existed. It had to come from somewhere.

If the elder sons eyes are more powerful than rinnegan, and rinnegan can bring people back to life, then it seems perfectly reasonable that a higher power would make a user immortal or possibly make others immortal. I think it holds water.

Also spiral eyes of the elder son... spiral zetsu?????
