Sasuke is a goal-oriented individual and follows power.
no he follows revenge. hes too cocky to believe he doesnt already have the power to kill off obito. in his mind hes already taken down who he thought to be the strongest guy out there
Sasuke's innocence was still intact before the Itachi fight. He was forming bonds with his team and was stern but seemingly content being around them.
sasuke had become a corrupt madman psychopath as soon as he left thanks to CS influence and itahci influence.
he betrayed his own people by disowning them as weak "playing ninjas", tried to kill naruto, laughed like a nutjob, joined a known mass murderer, tried to kill and wipe out his entire old team without batting an eye, commented y many people to no longer be the person he once was.
and a brief regression in the bee fight doesnt change that. if anything it proves he would have stayed with hebi and looked for suigetsus swords, not gone to konoha. in his mind they are the only people left he cares about and who care for him.
At some point, he would go blind and need Itachi's eyes. It makes sense that he would want to take them. He'll do anything for power, he's even stated this himself.
theres some things he wont do. and one of them is taking the eyes of the guy who murdered his family for the giggles. bit strange for someone to do that, no matter how far theyve fallen. sasuke only ended up doing it because he had gotten so in the esctacy of killing danzo that he wanted to crush konoha with full power.
having a target gave him a reason to be even more evil.
without the elders as targets, sasuke would still have no reason to go back to a place he disowned and betrayed. he pretty much disowned team 7 to their faces and tried to murder them so yeah why woud he think they'd want him back after that.
Sasuke wanted to go after Obito later on and would need to get stronger. He would go back to the village, that's the only possible place he could go to get stronger and continue learning.
again itachis maniulation was such that he convinced sasuke he hadnt been doing or learning ANYTHING while there. the gap between sauske and itachi hadnt changed, whic meant that he needed to leave and seek power elsewhere. going back contradicts that. if konoha wasnt making him obito level before, how can they now.
your not getting into sasukes mindset here. your just letting itachi's plans confuse you. understand that itachis plan was stupid and never was gonna happen.
If he had never learned the truth, he wouldn't feel any malice towards Konoha.
DOESNT MEAN HE LIKES THEM EITHER. he tried to kill his old team plus two new guys. he had lost his mind. if he went back, konoha would definitely look like pussified fools to him. not like the ruthless man he had become.
he disowned them as weaklings and wouldnt go back even if he had the option. not while obito lived anyway.
if he did become a good guy and settle down, it would probably be as otogakures new boss. 3 years there compared to 5-6 years in konoah without his family? yeah im pretty sure he thinks of otogakure as far more of a home. hes only trying to go back now because he thinks he needs to change them from their corrupt old ways.
He would want to go back to Team 7 and continue, he would have succeeded in his mind of honoring the Uchiha by eliminating Itachi
this was personal revenge. not some heroic mission of justice. he had already steeped himself in evil too much to suddenly be like "zomg my quest is over, now im nice again". hatred doesnt work like that. it continues. it festers. obito being alive would torment him into more madness. why would he go back to people he tried to kill mere weeks earlier?
The village would take him back. What harm did he even do at that point? He had been known to kill Deidara, Orochimaru, and Itachi...3 S-rank criminals.
betray them. as far as the ninja worlds concerned, being a missing nin is a huge dishonor on not just you but your former home. if he tells them the truth, then oro is off the table, and they will be able to see deidara simply kiled himself.
and what, they are gonna give him a medal for ridding them of itachi? theyd only be disappointed two criminals didnt take each other out. sai voiced what everyone really thought of him, that he was just a power hungry douchebag.
deidara died becase he got in sasukes way, not some noble defence of goodness and justice.
They would view him as a hero, and he would just say that he avenged his clan.
so itachi woudl be immediately accepted right back if he killed pain? it doesnt work like that. we have yet to see how a former vllain is treated by the populace. but we have seen that they were all downright afraid and abusive of gaara, pre evil and post turn to evil.
we know they feared even the rival nations. hiruzen was seen saying "wow the sand are dangerous". so how do you think tsnade would react to sasuke? she and the elders would have to convince naruto sasuke isnt gonna be instantly trusted because he says so. this isnt a nagato situation where he truly wanted peace. sasuke has been a selfish douche for 3 years and the peopel who value trust and loyalty above all else is gonna swallow their pride around him? fuk no they wont. no matter what naruto says.
Tsunade didn't even send the Anbu after him when he first left Konoha back in pt1, even though she was supposed to. S
she had no one capable of invading oro's hideout, and she didnt send adult jounins after sasuke because she simply couldnt. oros invasion left them devastated manpower wise. probs why kiba and tenten got promoted to chunin.
Naruto/Sakura/Kakashi would be more than happy to have him back.
doesnt mean he thinks that
The only crime he was known to commit at that point was literally just being a missing-nin, which wasn't a problem
and trying to kill his friends. and joining third's killer. and forsaking any sense of loyalty to his home. and going on a selfish power hungry quest
considering that he took down 3 Akatsuki members to more than enough make up for it.
nothing would "make up for it". theyd only be disappointed sasuke didnt die too.
