-facepalm- Why would he lie? He had no reason to lie on this matter whatsoever. It wouldnt change anything. Just show to Sasuke how weak he was. Also madara did not lie for everything. And Madara knew Itachis abilities as he knew sasukes one.

There is a possibility that Madara tell a lie to Sasuke....But from manga it is clear that Itachi was ill....Before fighting sasuke itachi met with naruto and he give something to naruto...At that time itachi seemed pretty normal... But after that in fight with sasuke, he seemed weak...Maybe whatever he gave naruto took its toll...
Madara told a sasuke a lie thta itachi let him win, bcoz he wanted sasuke to feel weak and will take itachis MS...We all know Madara wanted Sasuke to do something and for that he want sasuke to be powerful but at the same time emotionally weak...So it can be seen that Madara let sasuke to be powerful but never drop a chance of reminding him how weak he is.....

Read my post carefully, I said there is a possibility that madara lied.......And madara told sasuke to take itachis MS...I am looking for manga page where he told sasuke to take itachis MS....
You will agree, that madara never drop a chance to tell sasuke how weak he is....Whether telling itachi letting him win or always telling Obey me or die....
He wants sasuke to be emotionally weak for watever he plans with sasuke....
It is similar to what oro done to separate sasuke from konoha...

Word possibility means both...From manga it seems that madara was telling truth...From madara-sasuke convo, we can madara tried to decrease the anger sasuke had for itachi, so there was no need to tell him, "itachi let him win."

Im kind of late getting in on this but its was really obvious that itachi wasnt @ 100% and the fact that he let sasuke win he left the village hidden in the leaf and killed his entire family but spared sasuke and later after the fourth died he returned to ensure that they wouldent take out sasuke so really the whole thing with sasuke "killing" itachi was what itachi wanted i mean he even gave sasuke all of his eye jutsus insted of killing him when his back was aginst the wall so the point that is being argued isnt weather madara lied its did he tell sasuke everything.

Well, Any need to ask when he had forgot about it.....He knew Sasuke wants to get powerful, so by asking about eyes he showed him path to get EMS and be more powerful...Did u saw madaras reaction, he didnt expected it....
