You need the EMS before gaining the Rinnegan and you also need the Uchiha blood in order to use the Sharingan at it's fullest....your Chakra will easy drop into nothing after using two techniques.

Orochimaru could have easy got the Sharingan without difficulty if that was the case, but as you can see it isn't.

IMO without unlocking EMS you cannot get rinnegan (this hasnt been stated in manga)
3tomae-->MS-->EMS
EMS(+senju DNA)-->rinnegan
Kakashi get MS because 0bito unlock it
So an non-uchiha cannot unlock the other stage of sharingan

He already understands that transplanting an eye or pair of eyes will not grant the sufficient power he wants, using Kakashi as an example for lack of stamina when using the Sharingan. Orochimaru is also after an uchiha body to match the Sharingan in order to be able to carry the stamina to wield and unlock its powers.

im just talking baout getting the 3 tome oro has enough he doesnt need all that other stuff really from the ms and rinnegan.....just with the ability to copy jutsu and see thing slower etc is more then enough to make him a serious threat

He doesn't just want the eyes, he also want a young strong body, so that he can maintain a lifetime in that body, not switching body every 3 years. that is why he want sasuke for the eyes and for the strong body

Its possible because you need both the senju and uchiha DNA to awaken the rennigan,and since oro have a vessel which is the clone(senju) of hashirama he only needs uchiha DNA. Nagato was a proof,since his DNA was very identical to the senju DNA.
