What I think is the problem with Sakura's and Hinata's development.

Both NaruHina and SasuSaku were onesided until like 698 and the last. Though I admit a little NaruHina was better than SasuSaku after they happened. I honestly didn't think Sakura and Sasuke should have been a thing. She could have been single or with Lee or something.

Sakura with Lee would have been cringeworthy.

As in, I can't imagine them having a romantic interaction that wouldn't make me cringe.

Yea it would have been shit but it probably would have been better than her with Sasuke.Shit Lee didn't try to kill her. XD But her being single would have been better.

SasuSaku would be fine if Sakura's personality didn't disappear for their relationship. She turns from a cherry blossom into a wallflower whenever something having to do with Sasuke turns about. Her personality when she's interacting with Naruto is completely different; she's mature and takes no sh*t.

All Kishi had to do to make SasuSaku not seem like crap was to have to her Shanaroo Sasuke (he can Ameno out, whatever xD) as soon as he returned home, and have her be stern with him. Does anyone like shy Sakura? Freaking Hinata is more assertive in her relationship.

Naw, he tried killing her. They didn't need a relationship.

Probably, but I feel like them being a relationship was gonna be inevitable when whoever told Kishi they wanted to do a next-generations manga.

The trying to kill each other stuff doesn't bother me because in a world of ninjas, it's not that outlandish.

Yea I feel the same about Sakura but that pairing was like no.

The problem with Sakura, is that she's the main character, and she has no self respect. Even Hinata, who was a side character, had a background and clan problems. She has a reason to like Naruto, and a reson to be so shy and with no confidence. But what's about Sakura?? She's just there to self insertion and to be a mary sue in fanfic.

And yeah, I agree that they would be better with they had no infatuatuon. I actually think Sakura character developemnt would be move on from Sasuke. If she did that, she would still be a lame main character, but at least be respectable.

Sakura actually could function in front of Sasuke, Sasuke got jealous of her fast learning ability, so Kishi decided to ignore her developement because she would become to powerful at that point in time, possibly rivaling Kakashi.

loooool completly right, Sasuke got jealous of sakura power ups, this is now canon, no fanfic.
But so do you agree she's underdeveloped right?

Yea Hinata did have a reason but it was like Kishimoto just decided to make her mainly focus on that after a while. That's what I didn't like. I wanted her to over come her lame dad with out only being mainly depended on the though of Naruto. Sakura was a fan girl for Sasuke than it was like Kishimoto wanted to develop her than he was **** her over and he has her with him. Like yuck and some people assume all of us Sakura fans like Sasusaku..like eww

For sakura to be a good character, she would need to have a role in the plot, preferably an arc just for her.
In addition, she has an annoying personality. I used to like sakura until the beginning of Shippuden, but in my opinion, nowadays there's nothing likable and admirable on her. She could be a secondary character that would make no difference. I think a shame because Sakura had the potential to be interesting, since she could break stereotypes of the female in shonens. I see no problem with the main girl having a crush, and found really interesting the fact that she was the one chasing the male character, and not the other way. Because.... why not? But there came a point that Sakura became a deformed and pointless character. Kishimoto didn't know what to do with her, so turned her a laughing stock. Honestly, that's not possible that he did not know that she stay with Sasuke was tasteless. Her ending with Sasuke was a throwback to her character.

Regarding Hinata, she's a side character. Kishimoto general problem not developing his secondary characters, as if everyone lived to idolize Naruto, including Hinata, so it is not only a problem exclusive to her. I don't see her appeal, though. I am neutral.

Yea Sakura needed an arc.She needed a lot but I still like her.I just wish she was developed better. Kishimoto probably should have had female assistance.

That sounds like a miserable position for a woman to be in

I actually just meant that one would have to watch all these bad things happening. Even if there was a girl on the writing team, there'd be executive meddling and stuff that meant that women would still get it pretty bad in this manga. xD

An example of this is a show like Arrow, where, even after they added a woman to the writing team, the show arguably got worse for women.

makes sense, kishimoto said his wife argued with him about who sakura or hinata should end, something like that. So i think Kishimito just doesn't listen.

Hinata is side character. Sakura is main character. So isn't it obvious main should develop more? But she didn't.

Nope Hinata jump down to vs Pain
Hinata slap Naruto out of being corrupted and save the world

Lets replace Sasuke and Sakura. Sakura is still crying vs Pain
Sakura will follow Sasuke after he is being corrupted.
