For sakura to be a good character, she would need to have a role in the plot, preferably an arc just for her.
In addition, she has an annoying personality. I used to like sakura until the beginning of Shippuden, but in my opinion, nowadays there's nothing likable and admirable on her. She could be a secondary character that would make no difference. I think a shame because Sakura had the potential to be interesting, since she could break stereotypes of the female character. I do not see a problem in the main character have a crush, and found really interesting the fact that she who the one was chasing the male character, and not the other way. Because.... why not? But there came a point that Sakura became a deformed and pointless character. Kishimoto didn't know what to do with her, so turned her a laughing stock. Honestly, that's not possible that he did not know that she stay with Sasuke was tasteless.
Her ending with Sasuke was a throwback to her character.
Regarding Hinata, she's a side character. Kishimoto general problem not developing his secondary characters, as if everyone lived to idolize Naruto, including Hinata, so it is not only a problem exclusive to her. I don't see her appeal, though. I am neutral.
