Yay or nay. Gate of death loop is if they had izanagi it returns the user back the way they were when activated. Potential op?
What happens if izanagi was used on 8gates?

I would go with a vague maybe??? I feel like it would still turn out like Gai... There would be an extremely short time frame of activating 8th gate and activating izanagi... Never fully understood the jutsu but feel like it was only able to save someone from death within a few seconds... Certainly wouldn't be able to get full use out of 8th gate then use izanagi and be perfectly fine again... If you had it activate on your death I don't even know that you could bring your body back to 100%, even then, you would be blind in one eye... I think it can completely altar reality with no limits though so you might be able to use 8th gate, die, come back at 100% but still be blind in one eye...

Didnt madara use script:izanagi to activate a bit later after he died against hashirama? Seems the effects can be delayed.

Nay, they won't have the physical energy or the chakra to use Izanagi. But having said that Six Path Senjutsu should be able to prevent death because Naruto had the ability to restore chakra in the gate of death.

Assuming it's Danzo using the 8 gates, he should be able to survive if he can keep the fight down to under 1 minute, the time limit of his Izanagi.

That's some hax shit that kishi didn't even want to think about. Izanagi is the practical version of COAT with just some repercussions. So trade dying for the sight of your eyes, yeah the uchiha 8 gate user would live after that. But anyone without both kekkai genkai isn't surviving.

So what? He can't use izanagi before he runs out of chakra? The 8th gate inflicts self injury. One of two ways izanagi can be used on. 1) injury 2)death

Dude. Izanagi is a technique that requires great physical energy to bring yourself back to life. You need senju power to even use izanagi.

I think what no one seems to care about is that when izangi takes back an action or moment for the user(like in Danzos case) the chakra sasuke used for his tech wasn't returned to him... If it had then he would have been able to setup up the genjutsu that made Danzos think his eyes were still open

Activating upon death... With a delay... Wouldn't that imply that the chakra to use the technique has already been expended??? I cant imagine a dead person, IE Madara, having any chakra at all... I feel like the need for the physical and spiritual energy was more of a requirement to unlock the ability, not specifically needed for its use... If someone met the requirements for both techniques... I am starting to feel like having it set to go off after your death, then using 8 gates would work, not sure what the best condition they could come back is though... Best case would be the condition they were in when they set the jutsu to go off in the event they died minus the cost in chakra to cast the jutsu...

Izanagi is haxx. Not even Konan's ocean of Paper Bombs killed Tobi after 10 minutes of non stop explosions. You would think that it would because it was perfectly designed to counter the effects of Kamui as she explained that he can only be intangible for about 5 minutes.
If Izanagi was used the user would return to the same way he was, perhaps they might even fake the death like Madara did by using Transcript Seal Izanagi just to make Gai think at least he got somebody but in the end it was noting.
Gai will die from the drastic effects of the 8th Gate.

Not really sure. From the scan he trained his eye to activate after death, time went by and it brought him back. I don't think length of time matters for scripted dojutsu. So yeah chakra was spent after death or *roll eyes* set up like it was TiVo. Lol idk

It's funny as to why Sasuke didn't use it. He could've used it and attacked Naruto to say "surprise *****" when they were both lying on the floor after the final Rasengan vs Chidori clash.
He has got Hashi's cells when Kabuto implanted in him to get him out of Hagoromo's realm. Also the jutsu can be used at prctically low levels of chakra. You really think Madara had any chakra after he lost that fight to Hashirama to still be able to use it. Also the time delay was never specified as to how many minutes so considering they were there for a day he could've done it at any time under 24 hours.
