What happened to the senju clan?

Do you think it the war would have gone in a different direction if the senju combatant had participated in it actively. I asked ma self what happened to the senju clan which used to have so much power and influence. The only notable senju shinobi that participated in the war is the fight hokage, where we've seen action from the byakugan users, we've seen the nara clan also so many others, but according to the author the senjus are as good as the uchihas, so why then aren't they leading this war. Come to think of it the writer said the senju and the uchiha clan fought for generations. Without one evidently triumphing over the other. So why is the senju clan sleeping when only two uchihas set the world on fire?

But then someone from inside the clan massacred the clan.

the senju clan was obviously BETTER than Uchia as the first hokage proved to Madara.... face it

But they are extinct but their legacy lives and has been passed down to Naruto in a way if you analyze the info

remember the sarutobi clan that appeared in the war? well i think after the 1st and 2nd died, the rest of the senju clan was converted to the sarutobi clan since their wasnt so many left after the wae where the 2nd died

the senju clan just went off and spread across the shinobi world and joined other clans or made other clans specializing in there own techniques.

I believe that konoha is still full of senju they are just not pure senju there blood has been stained.

the only pure senju left is Tsunade.
