Yes it does, it shows massive character and mental development, any other person would have perhaps committed suicide, go insane.etc, being a good character doesn't mean having op abilities or power, the mind is also a power, I'd say the most powerful of powers, because everything we do first begins in our mind, our future and where we end will be based on our thoughts which leads to our actions which then leads to our destiny.

Kakashi was influenced by the father's death which made him self - centered, rejecting teamwork and team spirit which his father had resulting in the loss of Obito and Rin. Obito's death also changed him making him cold, a loner so much that Hiruzen had to step in, still he failed every student who had anything close to his kind of attitude and will only accept a true team spirit like that of Obito. We are moulded by our experiences else we're no longer humans, just robots. Kakashi was no exception. Kakashi experience was personal.

Sasuke's case is totally different as it was a reflection of a prejudiced Uchiha...

Sasuke had many things that triggered that feeling.

Kakashi never had any motive for revenge at all whereas Sasuke did and there were many external factors that contributed to achieving his goal, most of which led him down the wrong path and it didn't help when his own brother guided him down the wrong path as well.

We saw what happened when Sasuke wasn't affected or influenced by his desire for revenge and he valued his comrades as much as he did his family, but it was unfortunate that someone as cunning as Orochimaru had convinced him otherwise. Nonetheless, Sasuke held himself pretty well and was composed until he realized his entire village that he grew up in had betrayed him and that his own clan was always destined to bear that kind of hatred.

I know that the Manga ended some few years ago and that everyone has probably grasped the seriousness of this subject, but I was just thinking about it and thought that I might share my thoughts with you guys and stress the subject a little.


She was kidnapped and had the three tailed beast forced into her. That is almost like being rapped, which is very emotionally and mentally scarring. What makes it most terrible is how innocent they were as a team, and then one of them gets crushed by a large boulder and the other one is forced to become a jinchuuriki (not that anyone wants to become a jinchuuriki, but her conditions were much more violent) before having to decide to commit suicide by having a hand propelled into her chest. I'm surprised that Kakashi didn't suffer from insanity or kill himself after the events that took place during his child hood. His father killed himself, his best friend was crushed by a boulder and seemingly killed, and his other best friend was freaking jinchuuriki raped and then used him as a tool for suicide, and even his sensei and his wife were slaughtered by a tailed beast, leaving him almost alone in this world. He didn't have many friends, as he was socially distant, being generally superior to most of his classmates. But maybe it was Gai and his persistent rivalry that saved him from depression, or his mother got him through the hard times. If she wasn't alive when his father killed himself then that makes matters even worse for him as he now lives alone, suffering from the same pain of loss as Sasuke.
