what does popularity mean to you ?

No, I was popular, in a negative way. Jealous people, and people with crushes spread ridiculous rumors about me. They were literally obsessed with me, and I didn't take notice until my senior year. I didn't make real friends, all my potential friends got in fights and got expelled, moved away because they hated the school. Everyone just leaves me...

So, I stopped letting people in, because most of them weren't genuine people. It's too hard acting to be something you're not. And I prefer to be real.

I don't care for popularity, but i care for gathering a large mass in my movement, which i guess would lead to popularity. But I do not like popularity, so I don't care for it.

Damn this is kind of a touchy subject for me but ill share, and i will speak only the truth....I don't think popularity means anything. TBH I missed out on a lot of great experiences in High school because I thought I was a 'hot shot'.

When i was a freshmen i tried fitting in with the wrong crowd and at first i was made fun of. EVENTUALLY after my face and style matured by the time i was a sophomore i guess you can say i made a name of myself. Obviously I used to rap and the girls like it but i also started getting into more trouble. I let my mom down so many times(i wish i can take it back), i was going to get long term suspended from school but my mom told the assistant principle she'd prefer me to clean the cafeteria and have me do in-school suspension. ( my mom felt like out-school suspension was a vacation for bad students)

anyways because i though i was soo "cool" I missed out on my winter formals and on Prom i preferred to stay home and drink with some friends. Next day i go on myspace to see pictures of my now fiancee(back then we werent together, but i liked her alot) with another guy at prom, i felt so shitty I wished I wasn't an idiot and just had taken her to prom.. That same year my football team even went to state championships and i had to miss out because of how shitty my grades where.

So yeah, popularity is wack !

I was popular back in high school too and everyone knows me including the teachers, and I was friends with everyone.
I didn't really pay attention or cared about popularity that much because it was sort of given, but when I moved to another school it was quite the opposite.
I had to adjust to my new school and I had to make effort just to fit I with the new crowd, which is why I sort of miss the way I was treated in my old high school.
Sometimes it makes me think that popularity does play a role on how amazing your experience is in school.

Popularity is simply a group people knowing you.... People may like you or they may not.... I was popular in school cause I was the head boy in my school.... There were people who both liked and disliked me.... All in all it's good to be popular wherever you study or work.... =D =D

Let me get this straight ...... Popularity in a short form means Swag ......if one has swag he has popularity if you don't have swag than you don't have Popularity..... I am not talking about the good looking people that have fake friends ....But once you are used to the faces of 20 people and then a new face comes he is different from the others and he has Swag and than people start to remember him that's what i'm talkin about

At elementary, I was part of this 'popular' group lmao so silly.. and at high school, I was average but I did bother myself with that kinda stuff which was really just pathetic. Should've stayed content with myself at all times.

the attention someones get, and how many people they know and people that know them, this kind of stuff... there's the normal popularity, which can be seen as a good thing, and negative one, where you are popular, but for bad reasons, so ppl won't like you and such

I wasn't popular, I was just well known for all of the pranks I pulled, and for volleyball. I was friends with pretty much everyone and only had a few problems with some of the girls at my school.

However, I was called Regina George for one of the pranks I pulled.
