3) Kakashi - Thought he's a neutral recurring character that will attack or help Team 7 (Started watching Naruto from Forest of Death arc at first) and that they will unmask him one day.

What the title says.
For me it's Orochimaru. I got goosebumps when Orochimaru was truly introduced when Sasuke burned all the hell out of him (while diguised as Shiore, the female Grass genin) in the Forest of Death, only to just break out of the wires like they're nothing. Then what I thought was a women started talking to Sasuke and "her" voice started to turn into Orochimaru's real voice. I had no idea that this woman, Shiore, was actually Orochimaru, IMO the greatest villain this series has had.

That theme song gives me the chills, still the best villain theme in the series

OP: I thought Shikamaru was just a bit like me a slacker, that why I liked him

Naruto: at first I thought he was just an orange wearing, too loud idiotic boy who seriously needed to wake up to reality, but then I started to respect him for how he never gives up and keeps going on and doesn't give up on his friends, even when the rest of the world does.
Itachi: with him I had mixed feelings at first until I heard his side of the story. Then I started to respect him.
Sasuke: even though most people hate him for his decisions and how he handles everything, I actually like his character. He isn't fully 'good' or fully 'evil' and that's what I like about him. His character and actions are very interesting and that's why he's one of my two top favourite characters.
Gaara: although he scared the hell out of me first when he appeared and was so bloodthirsty, afterwards I grew to like him
Deidara: I liked him from the first moment I saw him. He's just funny with his conversations with Sasori and Tobi. Plus his bombs are cool

Yeah, Nagato is one of my favorites too! The Naruto vs Pain soundtrack is my favorite.

I was very confused about Suigetsu at first, but yeah he's pretty awesome!

Hehe, those guys are pretty great, especially Deidara and Gaara. Not sure on Sasuke though.....

Well, my favorite character is Itachi. My first time seeing him was when he snuck in the Leaf village with Kisame and faught/defeated Kakashi with ease. I was like, Yo this kids a monster!!! and also loved his "i dont give a f***" attitude aswell. Since then he has been my favorite character, and i favored him even more as i found out more about him.

That, complemented with his scowling face on the Hokage monument, got me thinking that he is a very serious, never-smiling, General-like prick. I also remember thinking "Hey, Naruto looks like him a lot."

My observations couldn't have been more wrong, the similarity with Naruto excluded xD

Naruto. I thought: 'well, at least I won't be bored, he looks retarded. Fun.'
To be honest, I saw the first episodes as a 14 yo kid and only sought for an anime to practice English listening... then, after 3-4 episodes, I continued with the dubbed one XD

Haku - for first i thought he was a girl. Maybe, because of the Hungarian voice actor, who is actually female -.-' But I became a fan after those few episodes. just too cool
