What did people expect Hinata to do for Neji?

Many people bash Hinata and call her selfish because of her reaction to Naruto's hand after Neji's death. I have a question however:

What do you people expect her to even do for Neji? Host a funeral on the battlefield and get the juubi to do the eulogy? People forget that this was a war! There is no time for a nervous breakdown on the battlefield!

At least when Naruto grabbed her hand, he gave her chakara and then proceeded to do so with the rest of the alliance. Therefore, her holding Naruto's hand wasn't a waste of time. It served a purpose. Her reaction to the hand is really irrelevant. It doesn't matter if she was happy or sad or anything like that. The bottom line is, she was getting chakara.

Having a break down for Neji would serve no purpose.

You may argue that Lee had a break down for Neji. Well Lee is just lucky that Obito didn't go on another wooden spike machine gun spree. Breaking down like that on the battlefield is dangerous. Therefore that was an error on Lee's part (not Hinata's).

Plus, for all we know, she could have just been saving the tears for after the war. That would be smarter.

Finally, there is no law that says that you have to mourn for someone. Ideally, you should just move on. Therefore to call Hinata selfish is actually selfish of the person calling her selfish because you are trying to prevent Hinata from moving on with her life and you are potentially trying to put her in danger.

There was nothing she could do for Neji. Hinata never asked Neji to save her, so Neji brought it on himself.

In a war there is no place for mental breakdown but but there is certainly no place for giving pseudo-orgasmic reaction for a hand holding either.

By the way Lee die not have a "mental breakdown" he gave a normal human reaction. Mental breakdown is a far worse psychological case and he picked himself up quickly.

...Are you still going on and on with threads which you rant about what people think? 4 weeks left just give it a rest.

It doesn't matter if it was orgasmic. She was getting chakara from Naruto (which was apart of Shikaku's plan for Naruto to give everyone cloaks). Therefore it wasn't a waste of time.

Also, I haven't made a thread like this in ages. Meanwhile a bunch of other people have recently been making threads like this, so go bash them instead.

If Hinata mourned for Neji more-"She's too busy crying over Neji to focus on what's happening now."

If Hinata mourned for Neji less-"How cruel!Hinata cares more about Naruto than her cousin. What a selfish b*tch!"

The haters would've hated Hinata no matter what she did.

It does matter if it was orgasmic or not. So just because she has the "time" for it does that mean she can have thoughts disrespecting her cousin's death? No she could have thought something other than Naruto's hand 3 mins after her cousin died but she have choosen to think about Naruto's hand's warmth. That's what happened in her own mental process, the fact that that she had "time" to think that does not make it any less moral or disrespectful.

Whenever i see your threads they almost always have context of "why people think about ___ like that?". They just have opinions.

It was not disrespectful to Neji's death. There is no law (moral or otherwise) that says that you have to be sad or depressed about someone's death. That just naturally happens due to human emotion. If someone however, has the strength to move on, then more power to them.

Bold: Am I not entitled to at least try to understand people? Heck, isn't that even a major theme of this manga (understanding others). Also, it only seems this way to you because you only ever seem to appear on my threads like this. You never appear on my other threads.

@bold wow... i have nothing to say after this. Having some decency after a loved one dies is universally accepted. I wonder what so you think morality is based on.

It is universally accepted to be sad, but it is not mandatory. It is not wrong for you to be strong after a death and move on.

If I remember properly She actually expressed that she felt safe under Naruto's grasp, so in what way it is psuedo-orgasmic? ... Maybe you are mistaking it with Madara who laughed as he licked his wound and said he didnt feel so alive for years. (Which is for some reason acceptable psuedo orgasmic behavior that people missed)

By the way Lee die not have a "mental breakdown" he gave a normal human reaction. Mental breakdown is a far worse psychological case and he picked himself up quickly.

In that case, Hinata might have given a Normal Human reaction for a second when the boy she loved for all these years held her had .... She too 'recovered' quickly. But noooo ... thats too unbiased.

...Are you still going on and on with threads which you rant about what people think? 4 weeks left just give it a rest.

So? Wha if it is ending? We still have the New Era Project and material to discuss for years .... DBZ ended years ago and we still talk abt that.

It does matter if it was orgasmic or not. So just because she has the "time" for it does that mean she can have thoughts disrespecting her cousin's death? So you would basically ignore the speech she gave Naruto about understanding Neji's sacrifice and not invalidating it by giving up and thus forgetting/truely-letting-him-die for a brief second for security she felt for being with Naruto? People around her falling like flies and she herself intended die seconds before to save the one she loved .... So it is a crime to treasure a moment with a loved one and feel safe in middle of that? Nice detailed observation there.
