Many people bash Hinata and call her selfish because of her reaction to Naruto's hand after Neji's death. I have a question however:
What do you people expect her to even do for Neji? Host a funeral on the battlefield and get the juubi to do the eulogy? People forget that this was a war! There is no time for a nervous breakdown on the battlefield!
At least when Naruto grabbed her hand, he gave her chakara and then proceeded to do so with the rest of the alliance. Therefore, her holding Naruto's hand wasn't a waste of time. It served a purpose. Her reaction to the hand is really irrelevant. It doesn't matter if she was happy or sad or anything like that. The bottom line is, she was getting chakara.
Having a break down for Neji would serve no purpose.
You may argue that Lee had a break down for Neji. Well Lee is just lucky that Obito didn't go on another wooden spike machine gun spree. Breaking down like that on the battlefield is dangerous. Therefore that was an error on Lee's part (not Hinata's).
Plus, for all we know, she could have just been saving the tears for after the war. That would be smarter.
Finally, there is no law that says that you have to mourn for someone. Ideally, you should just move on. Therefore to call Hinata selfish is actually selfish of the person calling her selfish because you are trying to prevent Hinata from moving on with her life and you are potentially trying to put her in danger.
There was nothing she could do for Neji. Hinata never asked Neji to save her, so Neji brought it on himself.
