How does one feel disdain towards something they believe isn't real ? Or is it the concept of it ?
I assumed they hated anything that had to do with religion? (eg the bible, god, etc)Militant Hatheist.
Edit: Wait, Militant Atheists despise are hostile towards religion and religious people. I don't feel disdain towards them, just towards God.
the concept of it
I believe in god but i'm the least religious person you'll ever meet. What does this make me?
Theist and proud
Theist. :bdpf:
I mean, there are times where someone is religious and hates what they believe occurred due to God's plan. It makes it hard to believe for them. Not sure if this is his mindset/perspective, but it was part of mine way back in 2004.
Edit: Hooray, we made it to page two without shitslinging!
It's never too late mate... Never too late... :snick:
And what are you?
Ot: atheist.
Religion just comes across as wishful thinking more than anything else for people today, although it probably had a different role in its historical origin.
Could a god possibly exist? Sure, but so could a celestial tea pot orbiting the earth in space. Why is there a paucity of belief in impersonal (but equally probable) things such as the tea pot but not for god? The answer feels clear to me.
A follow up question: if you have kids will you baptize them or some other way make them formally in the eyes of the law a part of your religion?
