I've been using AVG for a long time and I have nothing bad to say about it.
It's free, reliable and it updates itself all the time and the scans do a good work.

I also use Advanced System Care to sweep out the dust.

Dont know if you are military or have a family memeber or a buddy in the military but mcafee and norton are free to us as well just set it to run the shit in back round or sleep mode then do it before bedtime or work toooo easy

Well i do not use any kind of antivirus program.. since it's using too much CPU to simply run scan and other things i just use an DL-Analyser that warns me everytime i attempt to dl infected files ;] so far i haven't had problems with any kind of virus
