[Discussion] what about Ace's haki

we see sabo pulling out loads of haki vs ace
so im thinking sabo had a better haki teacher like did luffy vs ace.
could wb teach ace much about how to use conquerors haki. also during the war wb uses observation haki more then conquerors.
with aces father probably being a haki beast what you think his level would compare to for conquerors or armament.
also ace is familiar with conquerors haki but says "like pops" after luffy drops everyone. not like me because even in chains you can k.o. people.
what do you think about aces haki

I think Oda may have slipped up giving Ace no Haki, it makes very little sense why someone who unlocked CoQ as a child, sailed with WB, was Rogers flesh and blood and ran across the New World like a boss while being a Logia wouldn't at least have a basic skill in the 3 haki.

I agree as when Ace tried to kill WB back in those days whitebeard must have used Haki to neg him everyday. Even a dumb**** should realise tht if he is normally intangible how did WB touch him

Right, Ace just suffered from part 1 disease, which is where characters who should be strong are intro'd in part 1 of a series before other facets of strength are revealed so people just assume they aren't on scale with newer aspects of the story. If Ace hadn't had to die to progress Luffy's development before the explanation of Haki then I'm sure we'd have seen him show case some as well. Ace's death just came before the explanation of Haki, hell if anything you could argue that Oda used Ace's death primarily to push Luffy and introduce the concept of Haki(since it's right around the time Luffy starts learning about it and it's use in battle)

just watched the anime that luffy first uses conquerors haki duvals bull unconsciously but it looks consciously.
his is just as ace is fighting bb. so at this point is when it get shown more wit luffy and rayleigh.
but ya everyone is saying what i was thinking about aces haki level. if he had great haki he would not of taken those blows.

but with sabo having more years under a teacher would also speak about his development. cause right from the start he is with dragon. where ace goes out then finds wb after a couple years. also he would have to have it unconscious like luffy cause he gets his fruit from wb how else would he last.

ps in the wb war arc oars is remembering ace and how he made the hat. Ace tells him when he gives him the hat that he learned to make them in wano kingdom. so i think cause wano is not under government it was under wb. so i think this might be the first yonko fight plus meeting with wb pirates. who are already under luffy as per wb last order to follow straw hat with their lifes. also think we will get a lot of op knowledge in the wano arc

Well i wasnt making the argument of that either. however, ace does know what it is because when luffy used it ace said "you too!?!?!" This statement tell me that ace is more familiar with it than having only used it that one time. So it is unclear

I never said you were arguing for that. And it was because WB had it, he got the intel from that hence the: ''Just like pops!!''. He might know it, but he doesn't have mastery of it. Like any other form of Haki either. Otherwise he would have beat Smoker and not call it a stalemate.

Oda had at least 10 depictions of Busoshoku Haki prior to the timeskip. There's no excuse as to why Ace never once used it.

OT: By portrayal of Ace and the WB pirates, Ace didn't use or have much Haki.

But oda never made that haki to turn something into metal hard and at the ace's trial only thing that was made better was conqueror
so the talk about aces observation and armanent haki is pretty pointless
