Izanami worked on Kabuto because of his identity crises by trying to become Orochimaru not because of the use of edo tensei.

Itachi is not referring to edo tensei he is referring to Kabuto's DNA transfusion & trying to become a 2nd Orochimaru.
I don't feel like serching through manga chapter's at the time but don't you recall Itachi telling Kabuto that he is not Orochimaru?
It should be in the same chapter that Kabuto summons Orochimaru true form from his tummy.

How does the brother fight imply that when he never use the jutsu against them? He used other ninja powers and KKG. That is what Itachi was talking about. Where in the manga does it say it Isnt his power is my question.
