Don't be so pessimist! We all got through Naruto's 'Infinite Filleryomi' unharmed xd. Sure that I prefer more action too but I personally don't see a problem here.

99.999% people want boruto end up with sarada only because they want to see an OP kid with mix blood between uzumaki+hyuga+uchiha like dragon ball series saiyan blood + human blood = trunk and goten able to pull off super saiyan in age 8
they want to see a kid with like 8 eyes (two sharingan two byakugan two rinnegan two tenseigan) + huge charka reserve
pretty boring and typical western comic mind set

I guarantee you people who say that are the people who don't give a sh!t about romance and want action cause if you watch Naruto for Romance, then this anime isn't for you. It kinda make sense for the people who are into action to ship this because they want to see that OP baby and could care less if this person ends up with this person; matter of fact, Shounen likes to keep pairings obvious, the moment when that first girl is into a boy then you know what's up.

This kinda refers to my post above as Shounen tends to keep pairings obvious; in fact, in this case i knew for a fact that Naruto was gonna end up with Hinata or when Sakura showed her love interest to Sasuke and it wasn't subtle at all as it was too predictable. You see it kinda make sense for it not to be subtle cause Shounen is not a romance type not at all, they want action and adventures like Boku no hero. So in the sense of case of romance if that girl falls in love with a boy or hints at her being interested in him at the very beginning of the series? Then that girl will end up with him, Bleach did it, Naruto did it, but don't let it get to you as pairings aren't a significant figure in Naruto.

It might turn out with Boruto falling for Sarada instead of the other way around. Tbh, they interact more like cousins in the Anime, and in the manga not much is different imo.
