We now have an explanation about Tobi's motives

In the latest chapters we can see now why he engaged Minato in combat. It was cause he also had responsibility over Rin and failed to protect her, same with Kakashi of course. He succeeded in getting rid of Minato.
And I guess next weeks chapter, it will clarify this even more as it continues the flashback

Im basically saying what people didnt know, and thats what Kishi wanted people to think at that point.
But we know his reasons were because of the situation involving Rin. As shown in the recent chapters.

I'm pretty sure that "version" of Tobi isn't Obito..I still can't wrap my head around the fact that Obito would be capable of controlling the Kyuubi..there's no training in the world that would get you on that level in few years when you just were on the level of genin..lol even Minato couldn't control Kyuubi. There's got to be a better explanation for that.

1st Minato is not an Uchiha or a Senju, so he wouldnt have a chance in hell to control the Kyuubi.
And 2nd Obito was a chuunin that was taught by the legendary Madara.
So its quite reasonable that he did that in a few years.

Noo sorry but it's not reasonable. Chuunin or genin, still sounds ridiculous. Madara and Hashirama have been the only ones ever capable of controlling the Kyuubi. Obito isn't on the same level just because Madara taught him a few years. Get real.

Hashirama couldn't control Kyuubi, he captured. Big difference there.

Also it is not unreasonable, Madara is the top Uchiha to exist, he knows more about the Sharingan than anyone else..its not unbelievable that Obito while under Madara could progress so quickly.

Imagine if Sasuke had actually been trained by Itachi instead of Kakashi, Kakashi is great but hes no Uchiha, he can't teach things hes incapable of doing.

Madara is in a league of his own and considering his age and the fact he was the first person to unlock EMS, and second person to possess Rinnegan its not unfathomable that he could teach a teenager how to use the Sharingan to control Kyuubi

Just cause he fled doesn't mean he was scared, He was to injured to continue to fight.
