Well I didn't see that coming, but after the latest chapter Obito's words seem to have a much deeper meaning than what we thought. As the chapter describes, the greater the loss and the more the Uchiha loved the person they lose the greater the hate is. So people were too fast to judge Obito's words saying "He did that all because a chick died"
Fantastic turnaround by Kishimoto reversing the whole picture of the evil Uchihas Madara and Obito and giving a deeper meaning to Obito's reason for doing all this.
p.s. I don't deny that the whole concept of "sealing the love" is a little bs but still, it bonds well with the process an Uchiha needs to follow to awaken new , stronger eyes which was unexplained until now so I guess I can accept that.
