Ways to permanently kill Hidan

Hidan, the "immortal" who can survive decapitation, otherwise fatal slashes, and stabs through the heart, may not be as "immortal" as he seems.

We know that Hidan can't "put himself back together". He needs Kakuzu to put his severed body parts back together so that he can keep fighting.

However, what if there were no body parts to put back together? What if Hidan's body parts were just completely destroyed?

In other words, what if a high level fire jutsu were used to burn Hidan's body to ash, or what if a high level earth jutsu were used to pulverize Hidan's body to dust?

Hidan can't regenerate himself, so wouldn't either of those methods - or anything similar - destroy him forever? I think so.

Anyone else have any comments on this? Do you agree that Hidan is not, as he says, immortal?

Yeah, I think you are right. Plus, I think the only immortal part of Hidan is his head. If that gets crushed, he has no way to send body signals and his immortality is cut off. I think when his head got crushed, he really died.

I figure actually that Shikamaru may have had a good way to kill Hidan. Hidan requires that ritual praying to ensure his immortality, but if Hidan is dismembered, he can't move anything. If he can't move anything, he can't pray. If he can't pray, he loses his immortality. In the Narutoverse, Hidan's death may have actually happened like three months ago. So who knows if the immortality ran out.

I do figure if he was burned to ashes, he would die as well. It's just like in DBZ where in order to kill Cell and Majin Buu you had to obliterate them completely otherwise they'd just come back.

All great answers, though some aren't found in the Narutoverse, lol, it makes them more entertaining. There are certainly many ways. Obviously Shikamaru had to compensate for his lack of ninjutsu with his IQ, so we didn't get the most satisfactory answer.


1.) Personally,I agree with those above that the best way is to take out his soul using the Reaper Death God seal, Gedo Mazo, Sword of Totsuka, etc.

2.) Minato displaced the Kyuubi chakra blast using a space-time technique so it wouldn't hit the village to some place safe. Why doesn't one just use that technique or Nagato's Chibaku Tensei and send his ass into the sun Superman style.

3.) Kakashi or Madara just send him to a different dimension, which technically doesn't kill him though we don't know what's going on in the Kamui dimension.

4.) My personal favorite, Naruto could read him a book and maybe he'd renounce his god and commit suicide.

5.) When in doubt, Chuck Norris no Jutsu.

Ways to kill him: no even if u burn down his body to ashes and destroy it completly,his soul will remain and that cant be destroyed and if u seal it in the shinigami's belly he would still be considered alive but sealed
