I went with yes. I think Kisame and Madara might be adding a few right now. Remember the Gaara arc, and they mentioned how it was significantly harder to seal the Bijou (takes much longer) with out Orochimaru, 1 person. They've obviously done 7 since then, but the last two bijou are much harder to obtain than previously estimated.

I think it may just be 1 or 2 with highly specialized skills for the remaining two.

yeah you can interpretate it that way and maybe they are the new members (though they're more like affiliates), but are they stronger then those 4? I doubt it...

I think they are, sasuke killed deidara on his own, and deidara was just as strong as sasori, who was killed by sakura and that old hag, sasukes speed would have won, and kakuzu and hidan, dont know really, but i believe that whole team cooperating properly could have won

Deidara:
Sasuke was stronger than Deidara, 1 down. Is anyone in team Hawk really a ranged fighter?

Sasori:
I expect that he could've avoided Sasori's strikes with the Sharingan. The others I don't know. I think I recall the fight being won because elder Chiyo was a puppeteer, and knew many of her grandson's tricks. Also, it took two of them. Elder Chiyo needed Sakura's strength and poison remedy for the iron sand and poison. Sakura needed Elder Chiyo to move her much of the time. That's two people complementing each other to defeat him. I don't think anyone else in team Hawk could defeat him.

Kakuzu:

That he gave Kakashi trouble and survived fighting the first Hokage is impressive. It took much teamwork and strategies from Shikamaru to take out a heart. Kakashi got one, and Naruto took out three.

Hidan:
Sure, if you figure out his transparent secret, they could've won. He's more pathetic than Konan, who actually wasn't too bad. A-class but not S-class in my opinion.

I really don't think of team Hawk that highly. Karin senses chakra, so she's good for scouting, but what does it help in combat. Juugo seems like he has a limit to his power as well as control issues. I forget the water guy's name that has Zabuza's sword, but he's not as powerful ("yet" according to Sasuke) as Kisame (yes I know he's not one of the four). In my book, only Sasuke is S-class level.

The mark of a powerful S-class Akatsuki is whether they can be defeated 1 on 1 or 2 on 2. Many of them are taken out by teams with strategies that know their weaknesses.

Maybe if Chuck Norris joined, I'd change my mind.

This is of course my opinion, it's not absolute. Other than Sasuke we haven't seen the others do much, while we have seen the four dead Akatsuki against top level shinobi teams and apparently strong enough to take down lesser Bijous and Jinchuurikii.

i could see akatsuki getting a couple new members, and then that would set up an akatsuki vs the enka ninja battle. i think the enka ninja that killerbee mentioned are like a good version of akatsuki and they are probably all s-rank good guys what u guys think?
