Good Afternoon Jonathan, now tell me what do you know about water in real life and the narutoverse, try to tell it in your own words and don't bother by looking at Wikia because I will know so.

Water is basically H2O. It can exist in three states, liquid, solid, or gas. It is however most common in liquid form. Water covers almost 70%(unless my memory fails me) of Earth, although only a small percentage constitutes the amount of drinkable water. We, humans, require water to survive. Water gives us life and allow us to keep living. Our bodies are also made up of over 70%(once again, unless my memory fails me) water.
In the Narutoverse, water is one of the basic elemental nature transformations. It is used to manipulate pre-existing water or you can create the water by turning your chakra into water. It has been shown that it is more difficult to create your own water than manipulating water that already existed itself. Water is weak to Earth as water flows on Earth, and the solid Earth wall can stop the flow of water as the water would not have anywhere to flow. Water is strong against Fire. Fire is extinguished by water and the same logic applies in the Narutoverse. Water can be used for both offense and defence, making it one of the most versatile element. Although water is naturally slow and peaceful when it flows, it can cause serious internal damage to a human due to the force it exerts onto the body of the target.
Water Release is common to the ninjas of Kirigakure. Most ninjas there have the ability to use Water Release, and the Hozuki clan even have bodies entirely made of Water. The strongest water release user is Tobirama Senju.

I'll make it brief then. Water,simply put is a basic necessity of life. Water makes it possible for precipitation to occur. Precipitation in turn brings about the growing of crops which man and animal eat. Animals eat plants and also drink water. These animals are eaten by man.This means that without water,none of us would be alive.[\U]
Water also aids transportation,it helps us to bathe and also wash.
Now in the Narutoverse,water is one of the basic five nature elements.
Water is very useful as it enables its user launch swift but brutal attacks on his/her opponent. Water users prove their worth when they battle in a terrain where water is much.
Shinobi from the Hidden Mist,Kirigakure are the best water users since they have a great affinity for it.
Water combines with Earth to form Wood.
Water combines with Wind to form Ice.
Water combines with Earth and Wind to form Crystal.
Water combines with Fire and Earth to form Lava.
Water used together with a Lightning attack can be very deadly as it conducts electricity very well.
Some water users are : Hoshikage Kisame, Hatake Kakashi, Yamato, Kakuzu, Chojurou.

Very good job Jonathan it's true but even tho you forgot the most important water clan; The Hozuki Clan.

Good job, it's all true.
Now It's my turn to tell you guys something about the water element, you have to promise me that you'll read this during battles so you know when to use it.
1. A-rank water vs A-rank fire : Water puts it out and continues.
S-rank water vs A-rank fire : Same as above.
A-rank water vs S rank fire : Both jutsus cancel each other out and steam is created.
The rest speaks for itself, now also when you want to combine elements then remember this.
2. Fire + Water = Steam, a good way to conceal yourself, the fire heats the water up and thereby turns it into steam. The Steam itself can't be used as an attack, (exception - Han) but it's a great way to confuse your opponent.
Wind + Water = Increasing the speed of the water, but apart from that, nothing really, maybe you could use it to spread your water more, or make some cool tornados, but jutsus like that already exists.
Lightning + Water = Electric water, often used a brilliant combo, but it can backfire on you really bad, if you touch the water you loose the fight.
Earth + Water = Mud, good at immobilizing your opponent, and even blinding him, but unless you harden it with fire, it isn't exactly lethal or anything.

No questions Sempai, except one. If an A-rank Water technique goes against an A-rank Fire technique, the fire will be extinguished. The water will continue at the opponent but at what rank of power? I figured that it would have less power, but I'm not sure. Same for S-rank water against A-rank Fire.
I jotted it down on to my notebook for me to refer too. I don't know why I did it don't ask me. I'll refer to it before every battle.

S-Rank Water against A-Rank Fire will continue as a B-Ranked technique.
A-Rank Water against S-Rank Fire will make steam cover the battle arena.
Now both meditate under the waterfall, clear your mind and breath in and breath out.

Sitting under the waterfall, I meditate and allow myself to become one with the flow of the water. After about 2hrs, I am no longer conscious of anything around me except the water. I begin to feel my body flowing peacefully just like the water above me. In water,every droplet counts so I visualize the water as my chakrabase and the droplets as parts of my chakra which I send to my whole body,increasing my chakra circulation.
I sit down and assume the pose that you meditate in under the crushing force of the waterfall. As the water rains down upon my head, I find it hard to concentrate. I push back all thoughts about cookies and women, and clears my mind. I think of nothing but the water. Soon, I begin to become one with the water. I breathe in and out regularly, and begin to feel what water really is. Water is calm, peaceful. The flow of the water underneath me is flowing naturally, following the laws of nature. As the droplets of water fall from the waterfall, I begin to feel the pressure. I understand that one drop of water isn't really going to harm you, but when it comes in the form of many droplets, it becomes a very dangerous substance. I mimic the flow of water and try to get my chakra to flow peacefully, and follow the flow. The chakra then circulates around my entire body.
I continue to focus on the waterfall, and on my chakra. I make the chakra that I molded previously flow through my body. As my whole body has been circulated with my chakra, I release the chakra on to the water. I concentrate and try to cause a very very very small ripple in the water. As I succeed in my endeavour, I try to make that wave a little bigger, and cause small waves of water to dance around me.
