Next method is Method 2: Streams/Water Sources.

These techniques also require no water source to be preformed, and are in fact one of the best ways to actually create a water source. They stand as the ability to materialize a more continuous and thus bigger stream of water, instead of a short-timed shot of water, like in the previous method.

You can preform these techniques in two forms:

1. Handseals
2. Charge Chakra in the Gut
3. Spit out a continuous stream of water.

or

1. Handseals
2. Charge Chakra in the air
3. Materialize a great mass of water from nothing and direct it at your opponent.


Since it's continues, it carries more force than a projectile, so if a stream jutsu is of the same rank as a projectile, although the initial collision would be equal, the stream would continue to push afterwards. It is also a great way to create a water source to manipulate afterwards.

Another great way of using it is, if the range of the technique allows, materializing the water right on top/around your opponent. If you preform it correctly, you could encase your opponent in water and drown him, or, if the opponent is using a lightning jutsu, it will cause your opponent to electrocute himself.

But there is a disadvantage, as noted by a mist01. Since you are continuously and actively delivering chakra and water, it will make you vulnerable or at least distracted to other jutsus. I know for a fact that Izuna enjoys disrupting people's jutsus whenever he has the chance. There is an advantage to continuous output of water (or wind, fire, etc), as you can push continuously, but it also means you're busy for a longer duration of time.

You can, at any point of the technique, dispel it and quickly focus on something else, but the danger remains, and you should be aware of it.

So I guess it would be these types of jutsu used if one wanted to create a sort of water slide on a hill or slope, allowing for quicker movement downhill or harder times climbing...
Could you create the stream and then place/ throw your ninja tools through the centre of the stream and use it to hide them from your opponents view? or would they just fall out of the flow?

Nah, it would be cool. You could send a water blast and use it to hide a kunai, or you can throw a kunai and let it be led by the stream. This is useful if you want to get weapons with traps towards your oponent, but will not be much help to empower a projectile, like wind would. It would work with a bunch of kunais, because the chances are, the sharp points would be pushed by the flow against your opponent. It would also be cool to have like tons of glass shards or metal blades into the water. But still, think of it as directing a river towards your opponent.

The water is blown out in the form of a circle around the user, and it makes for a defence without openings. It is also possible for the user to control the amount of water and duration at will. Furthermore, because the field of vision is maintained even while defending one can easily go on to the next move, which is a great advantage. The wall can also be formed from a pre-existing water source.

Works similarly to previous techniques. The difference is that once the stream reaches a certain distance, about 1, 1.5 meters from your mouth, it inverts, as if it hit an invisible wall, and it forms a strong sphere around you.

(Suiton: Dai Bakusui Shōha) - Water Release: Great Exploding Water Colliding Wave

Similar to technique I taught previously. Instead of spreading out, the water forms into a gigantic orb, with you in it's center. As you move, so does the orb, if you wish it so.

It cone from the mouth then inverts outward forming a sort of ball around the user, but where the stream flicks outward on itself would this not leave a small chute like opening leading down into the throat if the user? Or at least as the volume of water at this point of the wall would be less than the rest if the shield. Could this be considered a weak spot? Especially for sharp, streamlined projectiles that could drive through the water flow at this point.

Nah, you got it wrong. It's not an hallow cone, it's a stream of water like a water gun. In fact, the area straight in front of you is stronger than the area behind you. It's exactly as if you had a hose pointed at an invisible orb around you. The hose would splatter against the orb's wall and then spread all around it. But here, instead of hitting the wall and go back, filling the orb, it spreads to the wall, creating a second layer and acting as a shield. Confusing?

Well then, Method 3: Water Manipulation.

It stands as the ability to apply your chakra onto any water source around you, and re-shape it, move it around, give it motion. Through this method, you are able to give water almost any use. It plays out similarly as the other methods. First you make Handseals, then you spread chakra on any water source within range, then you make that water source preform any action you want it to preform.

Except a few exception, ALL the jutsus require a Water Source.

Most of the uses that I thought of were supplementary uses rather than offensive ones, such as parting water sources like Moses for a clear path somewhere or creating waves to unsteady my opponent or to move me out the way of an incoming attack.
The list goes on in pretty much the same manner; tunnels, chutes, shields.

No questions about the above, they all seem relatively simple to grasp.

The only downside to this technique is that the user must keep at least one arm inside the sphere at all times in order for the victim to remain imprisoned. This jutsu can't be performed without a sufficiently large body of water to supply the water for it. The target is unable to move while within it. Because of the density of the water it can be used, to a limited extent, for defensive purposes if performed on oneself. Water clones can be used in preparation for the jutsu, which block an opponent's attack and trap the attacker in the prison using the clone's own water.

(Suiton: Daibakufu no Jutsu) - Water Style: Giant Water Vortex Technique

The water is blown out in the form of a circle around the user, and it makes for a defence without openings. It is also possible for the user to control the amount of water and duration at will. Furthermore, because the field of vision is maintained even while defending one can easily go on to the next move, which is a great advantage. The wall can also be formed from a pre-existing water source.

I've taught you this jutsu already. I'm mentioning it again because you can achieve it by manipulating existing water, which is the point of this 3rd Method.

(Suiton: Gobo Shukusame) – Water Release: Burdock Root Eating sharks

Description: The user slashes a body of water, creating a pillar of water that launches the enemy into the air. He then releases five water sharks that attack the enemy until one devours them before imploding, launching the enemy into the air. The remaining water sharks surround the enemy and force them under water where they implode in on the enemy. It is known that if the sharks are damaged, they can regenerate themselves, unless completely destroyed.
Note: To reform the sharks require a water source.

Firstly you use your water chakra to make the water erupt stronger and faster, throwing your opponent in the air. Then you release 5 water shakrs (You don't need water source for that part) that you can shoot towards your enemy before you make one implode upon your enemy. You can control the sharks freely in mid-air, allowing them to turn around and attack again as you wish. If they are damaged but not completely destroyed, you can make them dive on a water source and that will repair them.

(Suiton: Senijikizame) – Water Release: A Thousand Feeding Sharks

Description: A much more powerful version of the Water Release: Five Feeding Sharks, the user creates one thousand sharks out of water, and they enter a wall formation, raining down to attack the opponent.

Note: Technique may be used once per battle

Creates one thousand sharks of water. Pretty much overkill.

The only real way I can think of would be to use Water Release: Giant wave crush twice. Once to make travel to the left and the other to make the remaining water travel to the right. However this would be temporary and extremely dangerous as when the technique ended the water would come crashing back into position.

Is there a way of doing it then? O_O

Btw, I'm teaching you all techniques, but the rank limitation still applies. So even if I present a forbidden technique, you can't use it. (Likewise, the one where you must be a Kage to use is also off limits).

Moving on:

Well then, Method 4: Alternative Releases.

Apart from manipulating/creating normal clear water, you are able to use Water Chakra to bring forth different types of water, such as Oil and Sticky Syrup. Although they fit under water jutsus, they have different properties.

Oil has very high flammability but it's conductivity is a bit lower than water's. You basically create a black oil which you can use to power up your fire jutsus, giving them more substance. Likewise, you can lit the oil on fire by using a paper bomb.

Sticky Syrup is not flammable and it's conductivity is also lower than water's. Though, like the name says, it's very sticky, and can trap your opponents and restrict their movements.

One can effectively reduce their enemy's area of activity with this technique, and has the effect of being able to take complete control over the battlefield. The normal scope of this technique is normally just a few metres, but if prepared, it is also possible to make an entire pond of starch syrup. Being caught in the technique can be avoided by channelling chakra to one's feet allowing one to walk upon it uninhibited, beforehand

This one acts as a Stream technique, in a sense you spit out a large quantity of syrup and create a large pond with it.

(Suiton: Kokuun) - Water Style: Black Clouds

(Suiton: Ukojizai no Jutsu) - Water Style: Rain Tiger at Will Technique

Description: A perception ninjutsu, allowing one to freely manipulate rain infused with the user's own chakra. The rain falls from rain clouds, formed with the users own chakra. During this technique, the falling raindrops are closely linked to the users senses. When the rain is obstructed by a chakra belonging to someone the existence of the target can be detected. The rain will keep on falling until the user uses the seal to cancel it.

These will allow you to sense your opponent by sensing the interruptions of chakra. Likewise, they act as a way for you to confuse your opponent's chakra sensing abilities, as he/she will sense your chakra on every drop, preventing him/her from pin pointing your location.

(Suiton: Uramiame no Jutsu) - Water Release: Grudge Rain Technique

Description: The user will first perform Dog hand seal and then the user create a large storm cloud, which in turn produces rain. Chakra draining properties last for two turns.

This will create rain that then forms a large wave of water, which you can direct towards your opponent. The water is special in a sense that it drains chakra from your opponent.

(Suiton: Mizu Kawarimi) - Water Style: Water Replacement

(Suiton: Suichuu Teigen no Jutsu) – Water Release: Underwater Motion Technique

I made that custom you told me to make as well by the way. Forms a layer of water on the ground which allows you to sense ripples/ movement in the water :) The rain tiger at will reminded me :) x

The grudge rain tech sounds a bit odd. A large wave created solely by rain? Does that not take a long time to form?
Also, does the rain drain chakra or does it have to be in wave form?
