Was There Too Much Focus Placed On The Uchiha Clan?

I've been re reading the manga again lately and the shift towards the Uchiha clan is crazy. There were so many other plot points Kishi could have dived deeper into around the time the shift got really bad, the early part of part 2 of Shippuden and before Asuma dies.

Part 1 of Naruto was more balanced. We got to see Naruto grow, learned about the Hyuga clan, and got Sasuke's back story. Part 2 is a total Uchiha wankfest. I knew this, but this is my first time re reading Naruto since it ended and it's more obvious now.

It was probably because kishi intended to make tobi the final villain and he was an uchiha so he did everything for him. But all it turned into was uchiha bs...

The Uchiha clan started off as one of multiple clans found in Konohagakure, but turned into one of the main focal points of the entire Narutoverse's lore. It's the main reason why the Hyuuga clan and Byakugan became irrelevant.

Kishi knew how sensitive they were, if he didn't pay them any attention they would've all unlocked MS from the butthurt and killed each other. Therefore no Uchiha clan for the story progression.

When the show started I got the impression that this show would be focusing on multiple different clans and actually have very versatile set of characters. The Chunin Exam Arc gave that impression.

In the end what could have been never been.

OT: I get why Kishi focused so much attention on the Uchiha clan but the problem was the Senju Clan (as equally important to the Narutoverse origins) and, more importantly, the main protagonist's own clan (Uzumaki) were overshadowed and were left with little to no history/development.

I mean Naruto could have had so many uniquely different jutsu from his own clan since no one in his era was really around to see them save what they've seen from Kushina and Mito. I was always curious what the Uzumaki clan were truly capable of since their seals are the base for all Jinchuriki seals and that the ninja world feared their powerful sealing jutsu. What a wasted opportunity.

I still can't watch Naruto the Last without going to sleep. Total missed opportunity to build on Hamrua/Toneri.Hinata

with naruto and sasuke and kishis love for parallels he included hashi and mads who was hyped up through sasuke and akatsuki, and obito and kakashi. so it was bound to happen lol

Uchiha wank ruined this manga, watching lee become a splendid ninja demolishes all things in the plot involving Uchiha. Part 1 shits on part2 so hard because kishi had yet to make the story about the overwhelmingly emotional Uchiha which let other more interesting characters shine. There are fillers from part 1 which are more entertaining than part 2's actual plot. So many unanswered questions and some ppl got so little screen time because of kishi and his Uchiha hard on.
