[Discussion] Was there a point to Sakura?

In regards to combat, she was pretty much useless, especially early on. However, I do think she was somewhat the glue that kept the dynamic of the team together.

Sakura was just the token female character, no matter what anyone says the story could have played out just as well without her presence her only contribution to the story was convenience. The story only had to be slightly manipulated to make it all work without her. Kishi has been trying the whole of the second part to make her relevant when in fact if she had not of been there she could have been replaced with an extra and it would have had the same effect. A good example was the end of Kaguya the punch was to try and bring her in and make her presence have a point when in fact it looked forced, pointless and out of place. Sakura is a blatant and unnecessary third wheel who has done nothing but get on most peoples nerves.

Saving Sasuke, Kakashi could have done the same

Saving Naruto, Tsunade could have replaced her

Saving Kankuro, any medical Nin could have done the same it was just to try and again make her relevent

Fighting Kaguya, Madara, Obito, was not needed

Fighting Sasori, could have been replaced by any member of team Gai

I'm not saying that Sakura has not played a role in the story, I'm saying that her role could easily and effortlessly either been carried out by another character or left out.

But that is just my opinion.

That's silly. The same argument could be used for Ichimaru on how his existence was pointless to Bleach.

Same can be said for Sasuke or Kakashi and say that Naruto's right nut could have replaced them in whatever the plot dictated. If that's the way of thinking then anyone aside from "Naruto" in the Naruto manga is an extra wheel.

Actually you are right about Gin, his presence served no real role in Bleach but that was down to Kubo and his terrible lack of talent, Gin could have been highly relevent Kubo just didn't have the skill or the brains to make him so.

As for Kakashi and Sasuke, Kakashi was the teacher who honed Naruto, could he have been replaced by another character, no, not unless his personality, past experience and skill set where passed onto another character. Sasuke is NAruto's obsession, the driving force that pushed him to become stronger and the bond that shaped him proberbly more than anything, could he have been replaced? No, it is the same scenario as Kakashi.

But there are other characters with the same personalities, pasts and skill sets just as good or even identical to Sakura. I understand that her fans see it differently and that is there prerogative that they are entirely entitled too as am I to my opinion.

Well there is no point in saying she was unnecessary , u never know how story wld have been as she is here for long time

She is annoying no doubt, even now all she can say is "sasuke-kun".. That's really absurd
