Was Silent Killing Downplayed?

We have all heard of the infamous silent killing technique that is used by the Seven Swordsman and high level Mist Ninja. Does anyone think the whole silent killing was downplayed since Zabuza was the first may villain?

I always liked the silent killing technique, it felt like how a real ninja would fight. What do you think, should it be used better and do you think it was downplayed or do you think it would be to OP if it was what it?​

Zabuza was downplayed.

Silent Killing and Hidden Mist was able to OHKO Lee, Sai, Sakura and the others chunnin/jonin in the war until somebody who had seen the jutsu in action before managed to counter it.

It's broken asf and clearly still works at a Shippuden finale level.
