well I didn't comment on OP because no mater what anyone says if kishi wanted to make the genjutsu work ho could of. based on the direction kishi took the story he didn't allow it to work. I spoke about danzo because I quoted someone talking about danzo sorry didn't realize I hurt your feelings that bad. if you need a tissue I can help you out. danzo was a good shinobi with the third hokage but after tsunade took over all he did was try and undermine her to become hokage which inevitably but konoho at risk, so yes im saying danzo wasn't that great in shipuuden and he is to blame for the eradication of the uchiha which is a point that nobody can argue because that's the plot kishi created.

Tsunade is a shit Hokage, of course Danzo would try to take over.

Just a reminder that if Tsunade had recalled Naruto during Pain's assault, Naruto would be dead since he didn't master Sage Mode.

your right when I responded I thought I did but after I submitted I seen that I didn't, but I meant to cause I wouldn't of just brought up danzo if nobody was talking about him.why is tsunade crap? she was average in my opinion. I think jiraiya woulda been better but since he didn't want to do it not a whole lot I can say. who do you think would of been better? and the other point you made about recalling naruto I didn't get because it was danzo who wanted to keep naruto locked up which in turn would of kept him from learning sage mode. a key part of naruto becoming stronger was because tsunade trusted him and allowed him as a jinchuriki to do missions and not be locked up like danzo wished. correct me if I interpreted your statement wrong

Funny thing is, Danzo was probably one of the few people who wanted Part I Naruto to become a strong ninja...admittedly one who works for ROOT, but still.

But the situation I'm speaking of is when Tsunade sent the messenger toad to recall Naruto; Danzo killed the toad, preventing Naruto from getting the message. However, Naruto at that point hadn't gotten Sage Mode yet, as he was still learning to channel Natural Chakra.

If Danzo didn't kill the toad, Naruto would've returned unprepared to fight Pain. We saw that even with Sage Mode, Naruto was still on the losing end of the battle, and it took going to ****ing Eight Tails to win. Had he returned, Pain would've easily defeated him and the Infinite Tsukuyomi arc would happen quite a bit earlier.

As for the Hokage point...Jiraiya or maybe Shikaku would've been good. I love Danzo, but he's the only one who can handle being the Darkness of Konoha.

You don't even have to make actual contact with the person to put them under koto. He could have done it at the uchiha secret meetings from the back of the room. Pretty sure Ms doesn't even need to be activated at the time. Not sure why he didn't just do it than.

It's my understanding that Shisui wasn't exclusively targetting Fugaku. He probably wouldn't even be targetting the entire Uchiha Clan. I imagine that at most, he would have to use Koto on the majority of the Police Force. Not all Uchihas are shinobi; there were plenty of civilians who may or may not have supported the coup, but certainly wouldn't have the means on their own to do anything about it. Shisui only needed to eliminate the desire to overthrow Konoha in those whom that desire actually mattered.

I don't imagine it'd be very difficult to orchestrate or intrude on a gathering of the police force at the station or something and cast Koto there.

Shisui could use Kotoamatsukami multiple times per day; Danzo was the only one who had the once a day limit, due to it being a transferred eye. Shisui was planning to brainwash the ringleaders of the coup d'etat, putting his village above his loyalty as an Uchiha.

Of course, Danzo called off the plan because 1) Kotoamatsukami is insanely hax, and because there's no guarantee the Uchiha wouldn't just plan to rebel again later, potentially at a time when Shisui is unable to stop them.

I blame Hiruzen for letting the situation escalate that far.

It would have failed badly, which would have put the clan on high alert, shortening the time in which the Uchiha would've attacked.
So it would've resulted in A) Civil war and possibly world war after that or B) The Uchiha Massacre happening sooner.
